Well still seriously considering this. Even if Jones gets up I feel pretty unconvinced of his ability to score enough to generate enough cash + let's me do the next trade. Cunners I don't have much faith in to score enough to be a keeper given 50% CBAs, and would like to have 3 trades to use next week for other purposes.

Does anyone know much about Brennan Cox? He had a big preseason score (around 130 IIRC) and then scored 154 in round 1 and no-ones talking about him. Does he have a new role, has he really improved or are those two games an aberration? Is it worth bringing him in this week as he is playing North?
He's a KPD who's scored over 100 six times in seven seasons, and last week's score was from a game where four defenders from the same team combined for 562 points – I'd steer well clear. Trading in a $450k player (who scored under 70 seven times last year) that you'll almost certainly need to trade back out would likely be disastrous.
He's a 24 yr old, 195cm.100 kg beast with 83 games, has good skills, and who has shown excellent early and pre season form.
He is around the age/games where the better "big boys" improve.

"under 70 seven times last year" - that's true, only 2 tons last year true also -!2 scores b/w 80 and 100 (9 over 87) also true.
Worth a punt ? abso****inglutely

Know who else is in this broad criteria ?

Ed Richards-24 yr old, 188cm,86 kg, 86 games
last year had 7 scores below 70, 4 b/w 87 and 100, 6 tons, excellent early and preseason form.

The turnaround in opinion on Hopper after one game in these parts is phenomenal. Argued against him and you all convinced me so I’m stuck with the spud too. On a positive note, the same occurred with Dunks. His 108 was one of my highest scores 🤣

Is this confirmed?

If Bruhn is named on wing I'm out. Screw Scotty and his musical chairs.

Bruhn will probably get subbed at 3/4 time.

At least Worpel has a secure role.
LOL. When‘s the last time positions mattered? Do you really think Balta is a back pocket player? 44 players just follow the ball.

Could not agree more on Cox. That’s why this warms the cockles of my heart.

I’m feeling the 2024 planning thread won‘t open in time for your needs.

I'm a bit surprised with that!
JHF and Picket were constantly mentioned by you or were/are just taking the piss.

I love it how you play by your own rules and beat most of us easily by the end of the season - keep going!

Anyone trading out Fyfe/mid price forward and going for any other mid price forward not named JHF?

Oh yeah, and I appreciated your post, should have split it in 2, was hoping you'd work out 2nd part wasn't referring to you, I'm not only dumb but lazy as well and got a bit worked up, thought the skill in SC was trying to pick breakout players, not much use identifying them if you don't pick them

I traded Bruhn to Sheezel coz i missed him but if i already had him, i would wait a week and watch JHF and Ziebell

If you have a swing forward you might be able to get a mid pricer you missed like Worpel, callaghan etc

Thats why it's usually better keeping them to yourself. Secret squirrel business. It's a camel / polar bear sort of thing. They go hand in hand. Right?

I think I am playing this dumb role pretty well too.
