Trades 2023 Round 9 Trades

Well, I've had a disaster year and my bench is trash, but thinking of the following trades...


Option 1 –

Greene --> Weddell

Baker --> Steele/Mills/LDU


Option 2 –

Greene --> Weddell

Baker --> Gulden


Option 3 –

Greene --> Weddell

Ratugolea --> Gulden


Leaning towards Option 2 at the moment unless anyone sees a glaring problem. I will also likely go Grundy Gawn.

The below team already has the Weddell trade executed. 25 trades, $233k.

You can afford to take a few risk with so many trades imo.

My team is already cooked as it is. Might just throw caution and bank on big Max getting DPP in a couple of weeks. Can do:

Ginbey > Atkins
Ridley > Gawn via Mitchell & Madden

Bench Marshall for a week and if he misses this or even next week I have English & Gawn to rely on, then flick Gawn forward (hopefully) and run English & Marshall there.

DPP changes come in after Rd11 I believe, so you'll have Marshall on the bench for Rd9 10 11 and 12....

Welp.
What I predicted for parish after his calf injuries last year.
With only 16 trades I think I’m gonna roughy Doc back in, that 70k I pocket is gonna very handy come next upgrade, with another downgrade next potentially either Cowan or Davey if he spuds it again - for Drury
I’ll have near 180k for potentially Ashcroft or just hold fire and have the money in the bank when one of Ashcroft, Ryan or cincotta are cooked.

6+ trades used purely for sidewaysing injured premos this year has been fun lolololol.

I'd steer clear of LDU for now his BE is 161 so he'll almost certainly be cheaper next week. Also not scoring all that well

My trades have just gone through with Michalanney > Atkins and Ashcroft > Anderson, I'm loading up on the Suns like Dew is loading up at the buffet.

Trading in Anderson now gives me the top 7 scoring midfielders with Bont, Oliver, Dawson, Taranto, Petracca and Dunkley.

The downside is that my defence is still sketchy due to bypassing a McKenna upgrade but I will probably bench him and start Atkins and Cincotta.

Unless McKenna pulls a good score out of his arse and starts generating more cash I will look at upgrading him next week.

19 trades and 2 boosts before this week with 171.3k in the kitty - this would leave me 16 and 1 lol.
I'm like 43k overall and close to cooked in any league worth anything (money/prestige/R00bies) and McKenna -> Atkins alone without the extra 70k from Marshall doesn't get Baker up to anything I'm really happy with - not convinced by Andy Bray after one outing.
I don't even really like Atkins tbh but he's a shameless seagull in the ilk of Ziegull and Hall before him so if CD don't randomly change the scoring system surely he goes alright...

Would leave D5/D6 as Atkins/Cincotta
M8 as Ashcroft
F5/F6 as Chandler/Ryan and I can swing one of Walsh/Gawn down when the first of them is ripe to GTFO. Still Drury to use next week

Team below is post trades. I also started with Gawn so although some don't count it when it's an injured player this is a Roughy isn't it

They are good trades and the bonus for you is you don't really care now what games RBT is playing with Marshall

BTW - I think your team is pretty strong, you must have had lots of bad luck along the way to be ranked this low

Yep I was a week short on my initial post as far as DPP change. Keen to still hold Marshall as if DPP falls right, he should average more than most forwards that I don't have.

Also eyeing up Walsh to move around going forward.

If I was to get Gawn it would potentially give me a forward line of Taranto, Dunkley, Rozee, Ziebell, Sheezel, Gawn* with potentially Petracca & Walsh in the mids who could be shifted there.

If I was within Cooee of overall I wouldn't entertain this but I could be saving potentially 100k on Gawn's price by the time next DPP is released.

Not 100% locked in but seriously under consideration
