I had the great pleasure of sitting with Bluegum for the game.
A quiet achiever is our Bluegum, coming out with some pointed strong clapping at moments that just happened to silence a particularly annoying Dees supporter across the aisle.
Also came out with a ripper...that timeless chestnut 'pigs arse!!'
Great fun on a night that must be one of Carlton's greatest games ever.

Thanks BG.💙

Voss just underlined and put a massive tick next to Ollie Hollands name.

Knows the young man can stand up to the pressure of finals footy.
I LOVE him!

I know it's an existential question with no answer but;

Does it feel like we are getting some sort of payback for the horror of last year? Those last two games last year were unbearably heartbreaking.

But it feels a bit like that as a playing group and a supporter group we kind of said "well do your worst, we can take it and we'll come back from it.".

And is there a possibility that the final scene is some ridiculous steal against the pies to complete the circle?

The last time we made the Preliminary Final..............we also played Melbourne and Brisbane in the finals

Can we count this as a revenge win against Melbourne after 23 years? 😂
Not sure about revenge but can only hope they are feeling as low & flat as I did walking out of the G that day…..

Cripps was never going to cop a tag like last week from Mills

Was so bloody tough this week despite the attention

Cops a cheap shot to the face from Pickett then got absolutely crunched by Max Gawn(?) and I honestly thought that was it.

Comes back on, takes it to a new level and wills us over the line..inspirational captain built for the finals.

Hi all, your friendly reminder freo offered Blakers 180,000 a year. We offered (reportedly) 350,000 and a third round pick.
Do you think we should set up a gofundme. He clearly is better than that + got screwed on our offer.

We got champagne on a beer budget.
Yep give him a bonus. Seriously pay him what he is worth

I listened to Blues radio. First time I've listened to commentary for a whole game in a very long time. So refreshing to hear good, highly analytical, and unbiased commentary. Highly recommend.
It was brilliant, best watch from home experience u can have. So refreshing having the commentators calling the missed frees & taking a full ground view of what was happening.
They called where it should be going, highlighted the options, lamented the mistakes & got behind everything else.
It was actually a lot more balanced then normally commentary - that was shit/putrid/horrible/wtf was part of there vocabulary- but so was unashamed barracking & praise for little important moments.
I would happily pay to have access to a feed like that every game.
The balance was good too - Andy got carried away a couple times & Sellers told him to pull his head in 😂
Sellers dropping an “F” bomb was hilarious. 100% they could get a few good sponsors aboard & it wouldn’t take long for the majority to switch to them.

Docherty the last 2 direct goal assists, after popping his shoulder out unbelievable.
This is the part that makes me emotional
We have wounded men, playing through, bleeding for our club
Soft underbelly no more. These fellas are absolute warriors 💙💙💙

Yep & to take it further the energy we bring is completely different. Yes we were shitting ourselves but there wasn’t the “impending doom” “inevitably of losing it” hanging over us.

It’s flipped a full 180, the win is coming not the loss

An old baseball saying “The shot that was heard all around the world”.

That was Tom De Koning tonight.

The King has arrived !!

You’re right A.L.
He’s really coming of age now.
Last week took some really impressive one grab marks around the ground.
He believes now and he’s going to be a serious serious player going forward …

Surreal at games end.
People hugging and screaming.
I'm sitting down weeping just a little, and so are a few other baggers around me. Look across the aisle and several Dees supporters are also weeping.

Footy.

This was us in the pub. So good. I have no voice and am due at work in 30 minutes. Will watch the game when I get home
