Nope... wouldn't stay anywhere else,
My partner lives there.
Food is pretty good on Kings way and in the Glen.😋
Went to Embla for the second time, after the Carlton game, great vibe in there, foods good too.

Embla is a long way from Glen Waverley though. I haven't been there yet, one of my mates loves it. I might check it out.

If you want to get the full Melbourne experience you have to go to Soi 38. It's a grimy little Thai place in a car park that people line up for half and hour and take insta pics of themselves doing it.

It's actually pretty good despite the hype and the ultra authentic salmonella-chic look of the place. If you go see a band at Cherry it's about 50 meters away.

That carpark is excellent also. $7 all night and there is a good pizza place with a DJ just across the road in a laneway.

Cheers mate will check it out 😊
Eat out every time I go.
Seafood Street on Russell st is VG ( the Mexican place upstairs near the corner of Russell st VG)
There is a dumpling place in a small upstairs mall off China town, Chinese Cinema upstairs and carpark below, that was great...I sat and watched someone taking pics of 10 different dishes on their table...I sat there wondering how the two of them where gonna eat it all lol..

Government gave the rail network to a group that looks mostly Chinese owned years ago. Most of that contracting doesn't allow you to run competition against their services.

Tram services are operated by the French. Busses are broken up in a lot of smaller companies but are mostly unreliable here because it's not the most lucrative.

Like everywhere privation has basically run all the infrastructure down and they will crash the system until the government has to come in and replace it all for them for a minimal outlay while all the profits head off-shore. Old Jeff Kennett told us it would be cheaper and more efficient though so we just have to wait for that to start filtering through now.
I thought the rail was French owned? Didn't Virgin have something to do with it too, or am I mixing different countries up? Either way, if they've sold on to the Chinese, you can kiss infrastructure and maintenance goodbye. They've no interest in other countries running on time 😆

First car park which is what you are talking about. If you join up you get 20% discount. So it's only $5.60. They now have another carpark 558 little Bourke street. Close enough to marvel stadium. Same flat rate for evening and weekends.

The one on the corner of Flinders and Spencer is only about $11 and it's a 250 meter walk. We usually park there if the weather is good. I'm never running on time so have to get close.

Yes, Bannockburn is actually a place.......:tearsofjoy:

As I used to stay in Lara for a 2 day LAN event in Geelong, yep, Bannockburn for me is knowing that I missed a turnoff in my morning fog.

Why we're going from one side of Melb to the other and past Geelong is beyond me though, I used to have someone dive me home as I CBF from that place.

For some reason I went to the original Bannockburn in Scotland about 20 years ago, it was pretty nice tbh.
Which makes it even more of a mystery why they named this place in Western Victoria after it!

Its claim to fame is "the place where boredom goes to die"......

Fev credits Ross Lyon on how he was a deadeye kick in front of goals, coached him in Carlton 2's. Never would have picked that connection, hopefully something our Key fwds pick up.

Fev also talked about how he was a mad Saints supporter when he was younger and I think he was keen to play for us when he was leaving Carlton but I don't think we were all that keen on him. It would have been interesting to see how that would have played out if he played for us in 2010 and beyond.

It would have been a shit show.
