Shermy, Reid could also be a Gary Ablett Senior or a Plugger Lockett.

Having the best player going around isn't worth a pinch unless you win Premierships.

We need multiple A graders.
Agree, for every Dusty there’s a Plugger but at least they all had their shot at the last day in September.

Harley Davidson, the Chezzel and the Warlord will give us hope and bring back the joy of going to the footy. I’m sick of being the easy beats..

We’re building it my Masked friend, we’re building it.

Jesus, Dildoro really thinks he's the smartest w***er in AFL history doesn't he?

I bet the McKay contract is something stupid like $780k PA, with a $100k bonus for playing 3 games and $50k bonus for attending 10% of trainings.

I can't wait for the AFL to look at that, plus the dodgy Gresham band 1 deal, plus picking up Goldy as a UFA and just blow up all of his "genius" plans.

Essendon should be ecstatic to be seeing the end of this muppet.

^If you were one to reid tea leaves...
Harley Reid to North and then becomes the first to receive the Allen Aylett Medal for being the #1 pick. Would be just fitting!

had to actually squint and look a few times to see who said that

You didn't read the fine print though, did you?

He then went on to complain that the length of the contract was ridiculous, that we paid way too much draft capital to get him to the club.

Playing "Media Watch" on this clickbait nonsense..

It is all based on some very vague assumptions, guesses and rumours, that are then being treated as fact.

Firstly, this magical $790K isn't correct. The compo is determined by a number of factors including annual salary, but also age of player and length of new contract. It's fine to use a number like that as a rough ballpark, but to then extrapolate from it as if it is now an established fact is wrong.

Then, they are accepting as fact that the Hawks had a higher offer that would trigger band 1, and based off their own made up number of $790k, assume that offer must have been about $800k and then set that wild guess as an established fact.

With two made up numbers, why not make up a third one? * offer is less than the Hawks, therefore it must be about $780k, a complete guess, based on two guessed, made up numbers, but now a "fact" and away they go with the clickbait headline that * are about to "blow up" trade week.

Given free agency doesn't open until Friday it sets up a dramatic ongoing story for the week, "who will blink first" "will the offer be upped" etc etc, when in all likelihood it was always going to trigger band one.

My guess, now that they have set a false narrative of *'s offer not being enough to trigger band 1, when it does go through at band 1, they will then start the stories suggesting some sort of conspiracy with the AFL "doing North a favour" by massaging a lower offer through to give us a better pick and start a whole new round of us getting too much help, compromising the draft, this on top of the already too generous assistance package etc etc

Trying to work out how many list spots GC will have, can anybody help?

Hollands, Chol traded
Blakely retired

If they don’t delist enough players is it likely that a trade for pick 4 and then possibly 1 will be on draft night?
Constable gone, Jed gone…

They’ve got like a dozen OOC.

All the more reason to trade us Moyle and Graham (he says, wishfully).
