Hello Shinboners!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

Seems slightly unbalanced but with a tweak:
(Points Value/ assumed pick)
WCE In: 3 15 FPP1 (Used Pick 19) (4294)
WCE Out: 1 22 F3 (4240)

HAW In: 1 FPP1 (Used Pick 20) (3912)
HAW Out: 4 F1 (Used Pick 4) (4068)

Nth In: 4 22 Hawks F1 (Used Pick 4) WCE F3 (Used Pick 42) (5308)
Nth Out: 3 15 FPP1 (19) FPP1 (20) (5206)

If we use names as per roos_fanatic08 rankings:

WCE In: Colby McKercher Joel Freijah FPP1 (19)
WCE Out: Harley Reid Archer Reid F3

HAW In: Harley Reid FPP1 (20)
HAW Out: Daniel Curtin F1 (4)

Nth In: Daniel Curtin Archer Reid Hawks F1 (4) WCE F3
Nth Out: Colby McKercher Joel Freijah FPP1 (19) FPP1 (20)

Think we will take McKercher and WC Curtain.

As for 22 plan for mine is to package it up with 21 + F2 to get 11 + F2 from GC.

*2, 3, 15, 21

Still, that's a beautiful set of numbers.

"2, 3, 15, 21"

I'm gonna spend the next ten minutes slowly rolling those words around in my mouth, like a fine Margaret River cab sav.
So for some perspective...

In 2015 our first pick was Ben McKay at 21.

Well played Brady, well played.

OK, now we know our hand, can you start some polls?

Trading:
Which pick would you prefer to trade for considering the likely cost and draft targets?
WC 1
Geelong 7
Suns 10

Drafting
Who would you take with 2, 3, 15 ?

Think we will take McKercher and WC Curtain.

Just having some names in, I think its pretty reasonable for all, would mean we have to do a separate deal with Hawks as a reach around (Upgrading this or next years picks) just to soften it and wnated to have names in for those who dont like points value, as stated previous that WCE mid is their achilies heel, they wont take Curtin and McKercher is the best mid outside of Reid

As for 22 plan for mine is to package it up with 21 + F2 to get 11 + F2 from GC.
Maybe a bit skeptic but not sure GC17 will accept that, delighted if im proved wrong

Darling is such a weird target.

He's 32 next year.

Whilst Taylor Walker just had a career year at 33, Darling will be cooked by the time we are finals contenders.

AFL Trades 2023: North Melbourne rumoured to be interested in West Coast Eagles forward Jack Darling

Jack Darling could be on the trade table as part of a deal with North Melbourne to split the coveted No.1 pick.
West Coast’s biggest decision heading into the trade period is whether or not they would stick or split their first selection and essentially give up Harley Reid.
According to discussion on AFL Trade Radio, North Melbourne has shown interest in the Eagles’ maligned spearhead.
Last week West Coast list boss Rohan O’Brien said it would take an extraordinary offer to entertain giving away the pick a position he re-affirmed on Monday.
“We haven’t actually put a price on it because we feel like if we do that the perception is that we’ve got an appetite to trade it,” he said. “We’ll just wait and see what happens, and if someone gives us something that makes us turn our head we’ll consider it then.”

West Coast split their top pick last year, trading the No.2 selection in return for No.8 and No.12.
“This time last year we didn’t think we were going to do that but things evolved and we thought it was the best option,” O’Brien said.
“That’s why we’re keeping an open mind at the moment.”
Realistically North Melbourne is the only club with a draft hand remotely strong enough to entertain getting pick No.1 off the Eagles.
Currently, they possess picks 2, 14, 20, 42, 54, 62, and 79 and are expected to get pick No.3 as compensation for Ben McKay.

Any move for pick No.1 would likely see picks two and three head to the Eagles and a smattering of other picks with North Melbourne reportedly looking at also getting Jack Darling in return.
Darling has been below his best in recent seasons and could provide valuable forward-line experience alongside Nick Larkey as well as another tall option.
However, there have been no formal offers put forward and it would be hard to see the Eagles depart with their 500-goal star amidst the retirement of several other veterans in Luke Shuey, Shannon Hurn and Nic Naitanui earlier this season.

I'd prefer us try to send off the 2023 PP and one of the 2024 PP's (20) for the GC 11, it's a point bonus of 450-ish but gives them something to work with this year and a pick of value for next year.

Then if we target Reid offer the Eagles 2, the Port pick and the other 2024 PP (19) - gives them a one pick downgrade and two other first rounders of value. Draft with 1, 3 and 11.

If it all falls down then 2, 3, 11, 15 and a 2024 PP is a fine two year haul.

Be happy if it was 2 and 3 for 1 and O Allen
