Obviously 2 and 3 would get the job done for 1 which would be ludicrous by us so won’t happen .We seem to be hell bent on getting 7 or 8 that will do it but is it necessary is Reid that much better ? I honestly don’t think WCE will accept Melbournes offer unless it’s 6 plus 3 other first round picks which will all be over 10 so even then they might knock it back.

So they gave up Brayden George and one of Curtis or Bergman to go from 14 to 11.
Yep absolutely. Thats a balls up. They have been praised on their early drafting ability. Most of em draft themselves if there no expansion clubs around. It is incredibly difficult to draft a late second to third and get it right. 6 picks under 25? Who all know one another and are mates? Oh boy oh boy! What a ****ing draft hand

Get that pick 8 deal done
and then do this...........

Points yes, but last time they did that they got Pickett and some currency by trading the Serong pick they got from us. We utilised the fleecing on Powell and the recently delisted Perez.

I suspect they comfortably look in the mirror and say they won that trade and would be comfortable doing it again.
I know Pickett is phenomenal, arguably top 2 small forwards in the comp with Cameron. We ****ed that up, Powell still has time to turn as Picket only kills shit teams and is loose with his head knocks n shit. Picket went missing in finals. Thats not what you want from a pick 8

Remind me why Geelong are shopping #8? Just trying to get someone to overpay or some particular list/draft strategy they're following?

Andrew Mackie on... Pick 7

We’re open to (trading) it.

What the last week at the Combine did reinforce is that it’s a great bunch of kids, in particular that group, and where that pick does sit for us, we’re confident about that.

But we are open to it. We’ve had some chats with some teams around what that might look like, and we’ll stay open to it, it’s just going to have to be pretty good to get us out of that position.”

Basically, if they were given a good enough offer and probably of the opinion this year was an aberration

Get that pick 8 deal done
2, 3, 8 and whatever else after rhat, too many to keep track of now. 3 top 10 picks has been my hope from a long way out.

Is Reid the best of this crop? Probably, but I’m just not that keen on giving up a huge opportunity to draft multiple players at the pointy end

Have a gut feeling we will overpay for Fisher but think with what we have done so far though it’s ok
Now time for Brady to not answer the phone for a couple of days and chill
Called it
