Hello Shinboners!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

Yeah that never happened, he was dropped because he’s s**t now. No longer a dead eye kick for goal. That whole manufactured story around how Rich and Gunston went to Fagan asking to be dropped is absolute tripe when the Lions know they’re cooked.
Oh, I know.

Exactly, those muppets on trade radio just want us to use our picks to help the club that ****ed us over on the Judarse deal, yeah no worries *heads..
We can offer picks 56 and 64.
And the opportunity to play with his brother..
Port can use that capital to move up the draft board if they’re creative.

So we shouldn’t bring in blokes that get dropped or can’t get picked in the senior team at another club?

Remember when picks in the late teens were our first crack? Now everyone thinks of them as junk picks to throw around like paddy melons.
The windfall we got for upgrading McKay has us:

Can we stop trading our premium picks please. 🤮
100%

I am sick of people throwing up our future first, when there is a high likelyhood that it is another top 3 pick next year.

People just want their shiny new toys now, but if we move out F1 pick for 2024, nothing surer than us getting to next year caught with our dick in our hand when a club makes out like bandits with a top 3 pick.

The only scenario you consider it is for some ridiculous offer you can’t refuse, not a piece to facilitate moving up the order this year.

The only time you’d do it is if you’re supremely confident of rocketing up the ladder.

Our current draft hand has 5 picks that land before we took our first pick in 2015.

5.

He is sipping from the Dawks board

TLDL: Wants the FA compo to be linked to the club the player is based to, not the offering club
This is actually a good idea though, except the team offering the money should lose their first pick if the contract is over a certain amount, and any compo picks should be in a supplementary round at the end of the first round after everyone has had their R1 picks

It's how they do it on MLB and works well. Helps prevent rich teams dominating because they know they lose out on their first pick

If we arent using those later teens picks I wonder if it would be worth death riding Geelong or Richmond who don't have many picks in this draft for their F1s.

Could definitely see Geelong falling down to the bottom 6.
