Come on, Kosi is just steak knives in this deal. Getting pick 20 is the aim

Unless the club knew that 20 opened the door to somehow move up and acquire pick 1, or be moved around into next year to get Bailey Smith or Ben King, then it just isn't worth it.

Historically, a player selected at pick 20 from a draft isn't going to end up being worth more to a list than Kosi and Scrimshaw combined.

He was prioritising Bramble, for whatever reason.
Once that was swapped back the team played much better. He's an important cog and a best 22 player in my opinion.
Next year we’ll be trying to fit CJ, S Mitchell, potentially McCabe and McKay into that back 6, I honestly think he might be in and out again.

I really like Scrim and would definitely prefer to keep him, but I can see us selling at the right price.

From what I can gather there's quite a few WA picks expected to go around that 20 mark- Tholstrup and the likes would be very tempting for WCE imo

Exactly. People need to think logically. Tops is clearly explaining that there is a bigger picture (aiming for pick 1 or other trade targets on the agenda) and Scrimshaw has clearly been identified as a tradable asset to make these moves potentially happen. We are unbalanced with too many half backs and need more talent in the forward half!

Please look at it in the total strategy.

I’m looking at the total strategy

I wouldn’t trade scrimshaw

U want pick 19 from eagles you can send Brockman and pick 29 to them for their pick 19 …use that on hill

U can send all of kosi Morrison frost to north for a pick inside 50 to use for points

Sending scrim packing is stupid

Scrimshaw’s AFL journey has not been easy has brown and gold running through his veins he ain’t going anywhere.
If Scrimshaw moving on is the last piece of the puzzle to get Reid or suns first, I totally believe he will be traded. Sam clearly holds sway in list management and selection would indicate he’s not untouchable.

I agree and he is one of my favourites. That game against Collingwood was super.

However AFL is a business….it was only a few years ago that Collingwood traded Treloar and Stephenson to much fan uproar. Are those fans complaining now?

Lol remember when some posters were defending the Bramble over Scrimshaw selection by stating Bramble isn't playing in defence, only for Bramble to then play in defence. Those were the days.

From what I have seen of Tom McDonald tonight I think we can safely cross him off our shopping list.

Looks cooked as TBH.

Reckon Sam was a big fan of Bramble as he plucked him from the VFL but he hasn’t really come on…

Scrimshaw was in the dog house in the first half of the season- he might’ve been on the trade table at that point but I think he finished the year really well when he got a proper run at it and has shown his worth…doubt he’ll be traded…

Dyl Moore is first picked by Sammy every week because he plays every game like it's his last and his life depends on it. From what I hear Scrimshaws VFL tour this season was largely due to how far away he is playing every game like it's his last and his life depends on it. I think Sam wouldn't mind moving on a social pillar (because you're right Suntory) within the club if it sent a message to the playing group about the standard required.

I'm not saying the xavier x haileybury mafia are doing nangs on Barkly St, but Libba would not be the footballer he is today (or still on a list) if Dahlhaus didn't get pushed out the door.

Defending Bramble is one of the stranger hills to choose to die on.

Hawks Eagles trade:
  • Hawks give: pick 3, pick 29 (our second), F1 and Brockman
  • Hawks receive pick 1, pick 19 (their second) and F2

So you’re hoping for West Coast’s list management team to be as bad as their actual team?
