Its a thing. Been in the background a while with a few clubs approached . May not necessarily be Haynes either if it happens.
Nothing will progress for now as they have finals and feel a real chance to take it all out
Any idea what comes with the dump though? GWS pretty categoric that not a first round pick.

We’ll they’re way over the cap. No club will be that charitable and take on a salary dump for a 2nd round pick. They dug their hole.

They have 6 and 13 both of which will be pushed back. 13 may be enticing for some clubs?

Perhaps something like our second for 13 and a salary dump. We are losing our second anyway. That would give us 2 top 15 picks plus McCabe

With Blanck frost Weddle DGB even Jeka or kosi seems to be plenty of cover down back

For Lewis, not so much
mate when you list them out like that it's pretty clear to me we have the worst KPD stocks in the comp.

KPF ain't much better but Lewis alone probably puts us above a team like Melbourne lol

Frost is not good enough and is old. DGB and Jeka have proven nothing to date and the latter will likely be delisted. Kosi may be moved on and hasn't played in defence for years, though having said that I wouldn't mind seeing it happen. Weddle isn't a KPD.

Blanck, the only player we could consider a likely long-term KPD is only 20 games into his career and was dropped at points this season.

We most certainly need another KPD.

North say hi
I am not concerned about North. Get it through your head, the HFC key defensive stocks are poor, very poor before we even talk about a KPF to support an injury prone Lewis.

Those who say we can just draft our way out of this are living in la la land.
It takes time, usually 2-3 years for for KPP’s to develop enough.

You have no idea how crap Waterman is, he didn't get consistent game time at the Chooks for nothing, he could even carve up the Eagles seconds...CRAB

You'd think Mitch would have a pretty good idea if Waterman is any good

We need a key forward more so than a key defender. Missing out on Riccardi hurts, as he would’ve been perfect. Ryan & Ramsden aren’t really the players that will dominate as key forwards.

I really hope MM has some sort of plan B. We’ve already seen the impact Lewis has on this team. When he gets injured the whole structure goes out the window.

If we can somehow acquire an additional first round pick in this years draft, I would have no hesitation in selecting a key forward.

So we need to draft some as you can’t force players to join us and you can’t overpay for list cloggers.
If fully fit our backline as a whole is far from the worst.

An sometimes longer

I must be completely out of whack with my talent meter, cause I think Waterman is a decent 3 rd tall option in a fwd line! I mean he’s never gonna be a Gunston but IMO he’s a very handy (tricky to match up on) 3rd tall. 🤷🏾
