Well everything is fluid. Would not be the first time a late change was made!we did this crap with Shiel, Bowes and now McKay. If anything the ITKs on here being so confident makes me less confident with most their track records. I’ll believe it when I see it
Geez, I don’t check BF in the morning and I’m 23 pages behind? Any chance of a summary? Good news?

Yep. Lynch had a verbal agreement to join the Tigers two years out. It’s why his sister was one of the highest paid players for woman’s football before Lynch even joined. The only one we were ever close to was Coniglio, and unfortunately that took a last minute dodgy deal to cause it to fall through. The other two we were not close, especially Lynch.
Take that one to the bank.
We had McKay
Then we lost him
Then we had him again...
And "I only like him because Big Terry likes him."Can we have a sticky on top of each page that confirms:
1. Having McKay will release Sicily to roam around the backline.
2. He's a free hit so won't cost us draft picks.
3. We have a war-chest so paying overs is a no brainer.
4. Again, He will free Sicily in the backline.
when Tom Browne X’s he is going to Essendon then we have himWon’t believe McKay has chosen Hawks until Tom Browne tweets it
Hawks have always done very well out of trades with North Melbourne, something tells me Ben wont be apologizing to the leadership group in preseason even if the Pussycat Dolls are in town for the Spring Carnival
LMR, it was written tongue in cheekHow can “we have him” when he is running around doing medicals and interviews with other clubs.
“Confident we can land him” is a whole new story.
At the end of the day he is down to two clubs and we are one of them so let’s see what plays out over the next 48 hours .
I really hope North match it, he walks into to PSD and we pick him up, they get no compo, we don’t pay massive overs.
Journos are saying that but they don’t know anything about trading and the draft they are Twomey parrots. Why would the suns trade their pick for slightly more points that they will get themselves via player trades? Their pick will go to the best offer of future pick(s) unless they remain as stupid as they were last year with the Bowes trade. McKercher would be ideal for you but you are relying on the kindness (and incompetence) of strangers…It seems certain that we will do a deal with GC for pick 4. The noise coming out is that McKercher is our preferred choice if available & if he is gone then Watson will be snapped up. Our midfield does need upgrading, other than Libba & Bont, the rest of our mids are outside types and we need more grunt (losing Dunkley hurt us a lot). Mitchell loves Duursma so it will be interesting to see what North do with picks 2 & 3 if they can't get a deal done with WC. I expect that if WC keep pick 1 then North will take Curtin and one of Duursma or McKercher. If they somehow get gifted Sanders as well (which I hope they don't) it would be the biggest steal ever.
He'll look much better with Sicily, Scrimshaw and Hardwick next to him.
He could put a price on himself front ended + doubt they want a player who wants out. Risk though agree. If we lose a player like Dursma over this it would suckCan't Norf just select him with pick 2 in the PSD?
They'll take the compo and run. Nothing surer

I’ve always wondered why North are so s**t but mystery solved, it’s because Ben Mackay takes intercept marksOr he won't.
Sicily may still end up taking the same intercept marks. That may take away intercept marks away from McKay, which is the ONLY thing he does well.
What's McKay going to do if Sicily takes an intercept mark? He can't run off as an attacking defender.
I've watched a lot of North games the last couple of years and despite his massive size he gets beaten in one on ones too easily, in the air or on the ground, and gives away silly free kicks, like Frost does.
He shows little leadership in the backline and just worries about himself. He rarely comes in to cover for others. He generally stands in the zone and waits to get an intercept mark. When he has the ball he takes an eternity to get rid of it, and unlike Frost, he provides no attack. He waits for someone to be free and then does a short dinky kick, by that time the opposition defence has set and even Sicily will struggle to pick a pass by then. Why do you think North have been so s**t?
