North potentially offering pick 11 + 14 and Dogs 10 and 17. Add Chol into the mix and I'd be happy to give up our future 1st and change for that.

A haul of Watson/Mckercher/Zane plus somebody like a Wilson/Murphy/Caddy/O'Sullivan and a Delean/Collard/Leake would be a good haul.

Bank on some improvement from within and load up on some more talent in the forward half and KPP.

Can't see Hawks doing f1 for just one of them.. or even both. Given how players don't want to come to the club, I would say they think we are going to be bottom 2 or even the spoon.

We may be confident but we need to highlight our spoon potential given the McKay news to increase the value of our F1. Clubs who want midfield talent will value our F1 highly.

I feel like we should shop around players of value for these pick 10 or 11 instead.

What's more likely to occur - the club offering someone they consider a long-term prospect a multi year deal or a one year deal?

Clubs don't offer players they are sold on one year deals, unless that's all the player is willing to accept because they plan to move.

My point is low cost, low risk, if we can see something in a player.

We need to look at unpopular players for play your role players.

Gould took the piss at u18 level and held his own at SANFL level but that’s his ceiling as he was already fully developed. Possibly gone backwards since then.

I know he’s too old and not quite good enough to move the needle for us, but I like Burgess as a 2nd or 3rd tall too. Been kicking goals for years and is too good for VFL level. Can’t see us going for him but could do a lot worse as a place holder until we get better options and will probably be delisted too.

I have to agree with this. It is why the HFC will find it harder and harder to climb up the ladder. Sorry for being melodramatic but the AFL is NOT going to give us anything while we are what we are, not that I disagree with our approach.

My view, it will take forever if we rely on the Draft alone or cannot attract players. Don’t worry WaHawk and others I am not about to start the subject all over again ad I am not mentally unwell, but in my view, that is the issue and from what I can tell, so it is also an issue with Sam and the HFC.

We will truck on, we will try many other players, I do realise it will take time but I am the first to concede patience is not my virtue.

29 next year and below average on most stats. If we target a key position player from the Lions it should be Fullarton.
