Can't see Hawks doing f1 for just one of them.. or even both. Given how players don't want to come to the club, I would say they think we are going to be bottom 2 or even the spoon.

We may be confident but we need to highlight our spoon potential given the McKay news to increase the value of our F1. Clubs who want midfield talent will value our F1 highly.

I feel like we should shop around players of value for these pick 10 or 11 instead.

I would really like the Hawks to have a look at Hudson Garoni and Shaun Mannagh from Werribee. Both players are big reasons why Werribee are in the VFL Grand Final and could add a couple of key needs going into 2024. Garoni also fits our age profile.
Both worth a look.

I know he’s playing well today but let’s not throw up career VFL footballer just because we want to land someone. Bramble was a gun VFL player and now everyone thinks he’s on his last legs

We should recruit (insert name of VFL player not getting a gig despite the MSD existing/reserves level player of dud side who can’t get a run in the seniors) they just (insert good feat in VFL game). They must be good enough!

Having lots of cap space again next year isn't a bad thing. Puts us in the same situation as this year not worse off.

With pick purchasing coming at some point and the mid season trade period. Some clubs are going to need salary cap relief.

I don't think any player should be picked by one game or a finals series but Mannagh has had a very good year and would come at a very low cost. Might end up being another player only good at VFL level but could also be another Poppy.

He’s a good consistent player would be desperate for the opportunity and we are light on for small forwards as osullivan and Bennetts develop. For a late or rookie pick why not?
Edit: yeah we definitely don’t want a guy who can kick that 5th goal?

I would definitely be having a look. Sometimes you find a gem in the rough.
Lucky there was a MSD or Newcombe would still be playing for Poowong.
Nobody would've predicted how good he was going to be when he was picked.
