Sammy doesn't have a very good track record at attracting players to Hawthorn.

Hope he can turn it around.
We've already managed to lure across one of the better free agents in Amon despite a pretty poor finish, already batting above his average with that given we just finished bottom 4.

The reality is that players are much more likely to re-sign at their current club, so you're already sharing whatever remaining chance there is that they leave with a bunch of other clubs - and of those clubs we're even further behind because of where we sit on the ladder. Have some faith that we will show improvement next year, and with that improvement will be more interest from available players... or at least wait until the season has finished.
