Sleepy.
Sleepy like a FOX.
Sounds like we want pick 1.
It's on ladies and gentlemen.
I reckon it's going to be multiple clubs.Brockman floated in the pick one discussions by that, Pick 4 + F1 + Brockman
Pick 7 or no deal.Thing about Worpel is that Cats really need someone like him in there. They miss Selwood doing all the in and under hard stuff and have nobody willing to do it.
It would make sense, but gee I don't see them doing it.
I dunno. He didn't sound like someone just asking the question. It sounded like someone who has thought about the answer. We're asking about pick 1, like we should. The WCE will ask for more than it's worth, like they should. And we'll pass, like we should.
They have 7 and 84.Pick 7 or no deal.
No way would we trade him for a pick in the twenties, that would be madness.
Cats surely not parting with pick 7.
Pick 7 or no deal.

No way in hell would I trade Worps for a 20-30 pick.I love Worps. Hoping he does stay at the Hawks, as he clearly loves it here.
But do admit, he would be one of the few more experienced players in a position we have depth for. Opens up a mid spot for Wardy or Frenchie & I just feel we need more currency from somewhere on our list to make some real trades spin. He would probably only get something between 20-30, but might be useful.
It would hurt me to see him in another jumper, but I can accept it if it gets us something like Baz, which we need more outside class.
I'm coming at this from a complete punter's spot, but we can't really move anything without more draft currency it feels. That, and we need Norf/Bombers to completely screw up the compo pick & not line up for a Pick 3.
Seriously? Actually a pretty good move by them for a 1-2 year flag hunt. Hawkins could actually play that forward/ruck role they wanted Grundy to play. Geelong wouldn't trade him though would they?Melbourne going after Hawkins? Explains why Chol wasn't targeted by them
They've been courting him for years.I’d send Worpel to geelong if it got us pick 7

Would actually fit in very well down there - even though I love the guy and have really enjoyed seeing him become the underrated clearance beast that he is.
He's a free agent I think? 2 years at 700k, more than he'd get at Geelong. I believe Grundys money if off the books fully?Seriously? Actually a pretty good move by them for a 1-2 year flag hunt. He was a top 5 contested ball/clearance player this year and they are valuable assets.
Plus he's only what 23? Just entering his prime years.
Keep an eye on the swans, large amount of list spots available. They either have a few targets or they rate this draft.
If that's the case then we don't do the deal.I feel the benchmark is our Tom Mitchell trade from the Swans.
That was for effectively Pick 14 (pushed back to 16) and a swap of 3rd round picks. I feel like TOM is a very comparable type, similar ages & Worps is actually more experienced (TOM had 60-odd games, Worps is 100+). So I feel like this is the ceiling.
But there's a glut of inside-mids on the market atm, so just feels like it could push a pick back a few places to the 20s. Plus it feels like the optics of Worpel is "bad kicker", even though his disposal from stoppage was fairly solid this season.
We'd definitely need a kicker if we wanted a higher pick in the first round.

We'd definitely need a kicker to the trade, like another pick, if we wanted a higher pick in the first round.
27 in January tooHow likely is the 4 +1 contract claim? He's 26 and played 30 games at two different clubs totalling 60 games. I would have thought that a 3 year deal would have been generous, and appropriate for a guy who comes with a 'can be lazy' tag.
