And West Coast would surely have an eye on Curtin.
If, and its a big if, west coast trade pick 1…

it will only be with North.. for pick 2 and the absolute manufactured bullshit compo joke of pick 3 north will get for that useless spud mckay..

north then take reid..

and WC will pick McKercher and Curtin after bidding on the suns NGA player..

1 for 2 and something i reckon is a near certainty (not sure it’s 2 and 3 though that’s a lot, NM need something more in that)

Or GC could try move pick 4 ahead of a bid. - Trade 5 and something for 2.

Then north trade 3 and 5 for 1.

Leigh Matthews a Lions Board member just let it slip Doedee has requested a trade there.

Then tried to back track when Ginever and Rowe said it was speculation.

matthews says a lot of stupid things these days. sometimes forgets to take his pills with his baked beans on toast

fact. he doesnt need to ask for a trade hes a free agent so even is matthews said that its bullshit. sure doedee/crows are waiting on the brisbane offer so crows can understand the compo and whether they would prefer to keep him or get the compo. simple as that

Yeah I heard that rumour two weeks ago. Brisbane been into Doedee for a while. Not a big loss for us so hopefully he gets a good deal for his future.

No way North trade 2 and 3 for 1. More like Ports first
West Coast want Curtin (seemingly) as much as Reid anyway.
Ideally for us the trade happens - North get Reid and pre list Sanders, West Coast take Curtin, North Watson (already loaded with too many mids) and Hawks Duursma

All we have to do is get pick 4

I don't expect Matthews to be involved in the intricate details of how Doedee gets to Brisbane. He probably just knows Doedee will be at the Lions next year.

He let it slip just after it was mentioned about McAdam requesting the trade.

We ain't getting pick 4, just forget it.

You can't talk all about how we tried to trade up to get Rankine or how we tried to trade up to get JHF, but the reality is we've never been successful at trading up at the pointy end.

We are a trade down club.
A club is a collection of people, leaders and culture. It's created and maintained by them and can change quickly. A club is nothing without this. And a different administration = different trading. The only thing that could be a problem is hamish since hes old administration.

That's not true. I heard on here that Neil Craig, Stephen Trigg and John Reid are secretly pulling the levers.
Only Malcolm Blight was shafted for being too successful.

Not Crows related, but heard yesterday from someone who knows Grundy, that he does not want to go to Port. He desperately wants to stay in Melbourne. Sounds like Port will be his last resort option if he does chose to leave and no other Vic clubs make an offer. Same with Sydney, not his preference.

Still a chance he stays on Melbourne's list too, but unlikely.

Grundy isn't leaving melb. Loves the place and I presume his partner doesn't want to leave. Will end up at another Vic club.

Yep the person I spoke to said his partner does not want to leave Melbourne.

That's why I think there is still a chance he stays on the Dees list for another year, especially If no other Vic clubs are chasing him.

Essendon linked to Goldstein, you’d think if they were going down that path then Grundy would be a consideration
Dons are going no where, Port/Sydney a far better option for his career.
