Lance Collard. I like the look of this guy.
Great highlights, not only did he kick 5, he handed off 4 as well. I know it’s only colts but gee wiz we could use a player like that to take over from Walters in two years.

Edit: how does a Collard end up on the WC NGA, that name is royalty down south’s way.

Haven't seen him but his name has a lot going for it.

A big forward/ruck. Reminded me last year of Hawkins when he was 17, but he doesn't seem to have grown much since then but is still a good size. Can ruck and has good forward nouse and skill.

I'd like him on our list because he's a very good local talent that I don't want to see on an opposition list, but if we were to lose Treacy or Darcy he'd come right into play for us and make total sense.

Unfortunately I think he may struggle to get drafted; he is very slow and an inbetween size (194cm) for AFL level.

I thought he may've been taller than 194, certainly looks and plays taller. In that case he will need to be mobile.

He doesn't look to be overly quick but nor does he look slow but of course that's WAFL and AFL is a different story. It'll be interesting how he tests as he has the strength, skill and nouse to make it. Leap seems reasonable too.

That involvement package wasn't super impressive, but it's just one game.
That was his best game so far at WAFL seniors IMO. He did have some good games at U18 National level though.

When he gets drafted I think it will take 1-2 years before he ready to play as an AFL forward without being a bit of a defensive liability. If someone wants him to play midfield I suspect it will take a lot longer.

Has he shown any signs of being a powerful impact player? His highlights so far haven't shown a lot of deft touch, clean hands, elite kick or speed etc.

As a big player I can handle someone taking a while to come along, I am expecting that from Erasmus, but...

What would be Tholstrup's point of difference that sees him drafted a player like O'Driscoll who has that speed.

I don't want to make any calls on a player without seeing them with my own eyes and I haven't seen enough U18s this season, just one game where Watson tore us to bits, but Tholstrup looks like a guy who might be a frame without weapons?

What's his best three attributes that aren't the size of him?

Yep, that collard highlights game should be the standard for anyone worth using an early 2nd on, 5 goals and 4 handoffs is one game. I still can’t get it out of my head.
I dont want to dump on a kid but like, all I see with Tholstrup is a very developed teenager with limited touch, speed and work ethic. He's summed up in that clip where he gives a hand ball to someone running towards goal outside the 50 and then barely jogs after it without any thought of getting the ball back from him or giving him another option.

Basically Emmett with slightly better skills and half the endeavour

I would like to see how Tholstrup projects as a beast medium forward/mid, similar to Dusty, Rayner, DeGoey etc.

That sort of player will be worth the wait and worth the pick.
No where near the explosiveness of any of them from what I've seen. They all went top 5 for a reason.

Let's just say Tom Cole beat him easily....that in itself should provide the answer.

That is one of the harshest comments I’ve seen on BigFooty. He must’ve been really bad.

I didn’t watch that game tbh but Tom Cole is legit one of the worst premiership players of all time. And our supporters think Ethan Hughes is bad…
