This has been cover a lot including just a few pages ago. Prior to this we had 3-5 main list spaces free and 0-2 category A rookie list spots open.
My bad, I was always thinking of it from the sense of maximising our senior list spots and then what rookie spots were left. At the end of the day we have deadwood on this list thats taking up space unnecessarily

But you're right if we were taking only 3 picks in the ND (+McEntee) that would leave us with a rookie spot. Its just another mistake to add to the club's list. We should've cut hard this year and taking more draftees instead we'll be doing that next year where the draft isn't as deep

Does Jed have a photo of Ken s……off a greyhound and did he share it with Rory Atkins?

If Rome, Louie and Benny aren’t on our list next year and Jed and anyone called Rory are, that is list mismanagement.
Unbelievable someone who should be delisted is promoted to the league list.
Fked up club run by fked up people.

I would have promoted Evans before anyone else. Anyway, rookie spot free and four picks available in the main draft.

Richmond with 10972 points.
I wonder if any team has had that many since GC or GWS came in
Think I saw a post a few weeks ago that this is the most any club has ever had if you leave out the picks GWS and Suns were given as part of their entry concessions

Thinking about it more, I can't imagine we were being petty over pick 50 only to use it promote McEntee. But thats our last pick so maybe there's a trade already agreed on in some form to get a 5th pick? If not, why would we have haggled to move pick 58 to 50? Makes no sense to me.

4 picks including McEntee right? So only really 3 picks

I thought we had 5 picks in the ND and none in the rookie before McEntee was promoted, now we have 4 picks in the ND and one in the rookie.

We had this discussion over Evans and agreed he would suck up pick 97 not 50 if he was promoted.

Most of what this ****ing club does in relation to it's football program makes zero sense to me 😒

Currently have 38 listed players including 4 rookies and Jacob Moss (Cat B)

33 Primary
4 Rookie A
1 Rookie B

So with McEntee upgrade we will have a spot for Rome plus 4 picks in the national draft

The key is Benny B not attracting a bid in the national draft as we can add him as a Cat B rookie for nothing (not effecting any of the above)

I could be wrong, but I am going by this post by Cal. We dont have any picks after 50 as far as I am aware which is why I think there must be a trade agreed to already to get the 5th pick

We wouldn't have any picks after 50 because McEntee takes up the 34th place on our senior list, so we have 4 picks to get up to 38.

Before he was promoted we had 33 on the senior list.

This is the discussion from the weekend -

For someone to be promoted you need a pick right? Or am I making that up? Swear that was the case before.

Also that discussion from the weekend, I assumed we had pick 94 to promote Evans. But Cal's order doesnt have that.

You are wrong

Rookie upgrades aren’t picks
They are just list spots

They are however included in your min 3 ND selections

We don’t need to trade to upgrade McEntee 😂

Horrible take!

Going on the numbers, we only have 34 on the senior list, so we should have 4 picks.

If today was a list lodgement and we promoted McEntee to bring the senior list up to 34 there should be no more to be done on the night.

Correct, Addy has had a mare 😂

Glad we cleared this up and can move on
5 list spots = 5 AFL allocated draft picks

If we’ve upgraded Jed
4 remain which is what we have been allocated today at final call

Simple!

Fair enough, like I said on X, always thought we needed that final pick to upgrade a rookie but I stand corrected. Thanks for the clarification

Full season highlights of the slick, classy and clever Murphy Reid. It was an incredibly successful season for Murphy who was named as the MVP of a Vic Metro team that won the Champs, as well as being one of the driving forces of a Sandy Dragons team that stomped their way to another Talent League flag.

Pretty good viewing there. Would be pretty nice if he slips to us.

Don't think Ky was ever going to be picked but must say I'm surprised about Rome, although I don't mind the call.

It doesn't say he was nominated either, just says if his name isn't called out during the ND then he can directly go to the rookie list. I'm not sure if he needs to be nominated for that to happen

The knock on Rome was work ethic.

If he's not tanking then that's an issue he needs to work out.
