Richmond are very interested in him at any of their picks between 18 and 24. He's got plenty of interest with Dogs and Richmond the ones with most. Would say 23 is the latest he'll go by could also go as early as 17. If he slips to 30 that'd be a steal.
Dogs are not interested in him . Check their board . Because thy reckon he is too slow at junior level and would not stand a chance at AFL level . The reckon it will be waste of pick to spend on slow player .Richmond are very interested in him at any of their picks between 18 and 24. He's got plenty of interest with Dogs and

That article is also wrong because Crows don't have a future 2nd!That shit was from Crowies Media . Kangas will be stupid not to do with Richmond in this strong draft rather than taking stink from crowes next year .
Lol what BigFooty board thinks is usually not the same as what recruiters think. BigFooty only rates people by speed if you're not a tall and contested marking abilities if you're a tall. It's like the worst indicator ever.Dogs are not interested in him . Check their board . Because thy reckon he is too slow at junior level and would not stand a chance at AFL level . By their logic Jake Stringer wouldn't have been a good player at AFL level.Dogs are not interested in him . Check their board . Because thy reckon he is too slow at junior level and would not stand a chance at AFL level . The reckon it will be waste of pick to spend on slow player .
I checked few days ago . I reckon it was page 54 and was not getting much love there. But their fans base may have good or bad opinions about Haynes .By their logic Jake Stringer wouldn't have been a good player at AFL level.
Yeah my point more so is that to most people, speed is the most important criteria in a player. Till my last day, I'll never see it that way. For me, disposal efficiency (in a positive way not backwards), ability to break tackles and ability to find space is superior. Speed is important for sure, but if someone has average speed like Hynes does, to go with the other attributes I've mentioned, they're a target for me. Especially in our midfield where we have lots of speed.I checked few days ago . I reckon it was page 54 and was not getting much love there. Exactly my point! Pendles, Sidebottom, Gray even Bontempelli and Cripps who don't have that elite speed but just break tackles and give themselves space and time. This whole narrative about leg speed is such sh1t.
Look at guys like Pendlebury, Swan just to name a couple. Not remotely quick.
The first few steps are in the head.
This applies to D.Williams aswell, it’s not just his leg speed that has him on the cusp.
This seems clear. We are taking someone who can spend 5 minutes in the ruck. Thats why its Whitlock or Gerryn
The ability to gain seperation from your opponent in a pretty important as a medium forward.Yeah my point more so is that to most people, speed is the most important criteria in a player. If I'm alone on this hill, so be it haha. Some of the best players in our game don't have breakaway speed
Precisely, he can consistently break tackles and fend off to give himself the separationThe ability to gain seperation from your opponent in a pretty important as a medium forward.
I think he can give a chop out for sure but would say Gerreyn has way better ruck craft than WhitlockThis seems clear.
Would love to hear from draft watchers if Whitlock can actually provide a 5 minute chop out at afl level?
Really like the look of Kayle Gerryn , he is already an imposing physical beast……. but it’s his mobility that is impressive…….. he’s a genuine ruckman build with skills to be an asset up forward or around the field. We are taking someone who can spend 5 minutes in the ruck. This is why I'd go Reid instead of Shanahan (assuming both are available) because I think Gerreyn has a high ceiling and can be taken with a later pick.Really like the look of Kayle Gerryn , he is already an imposing physical beast……. but it’s his mobility that is impressive…….. he’s a genuine ruckman build with skills to be an asset up forward or around the field.
I am assuming given we haven't nominated the F/S boys that we are targetting someone with a rookie pick.
My targets would be Polkinghorne and Ravenhill for KPF, Eastham and Toner for tall forwards. Hargrave and Luke Kennedy for mids. If we really wanted a HB I'd just take Burgoyne or Montgomery.
Decent shout, although I think I'd personally prefer him as a top ager next year after seeing how he goes at league level in 2025. Definitely something to work with and has good forward craft. Also needs a set shot coachTallan Rosenzweig.
Suffered a seriously broken leg in 2023. Did an outstanding job to get back to playing good football this year.
Think he's worth wasting a bit of time on.

Like you said, highly doubt Murphy gets to Rookie Draft tbh.Rookies we should be targeting with our ONLY selection in order:
- Jay Polkinghorne (SA) 191cm forward played primarily reserves for Norwood would be a great pickup.
- Thomas McKay (SA) 192cm defender can play either end could be a gem
- Josh Murphy (VIC C) 190cm strong bodied forward unlikely to be available at the rookie draft, kicked the most amount of goals at CLTs
- Harrison Ramm (SA) 201cm Key defender/ruck came equal first in the state combine 2km running 6:29 needs time to put on size but his versatility is key gives us potential ruck option to develop if Soldo tries to leave end of season 2025.
- Jacob Molier (SA) 201cm Ruck/Forward - another raw talent but something that could be worked on with both speed and athleticism his strengths
Use it on a SSP selection? I'd rather use it on a rookie pick tbh. We don't need another player like we had Mayes or Dumont or Sutcliffe in the past.Feels like a straightforward decision that we should delist and re rookie a player so that we have an extra main list spot if we want to use it.
Yep. We should keep a fifth spot open for the main draft. It puts our last pick up say 20 spots to get someone rated like a Dennis or Josh Murphy.Feels like a straightforward decision that we should delist and re rookie a player so that we have an extra main list spot if we want to use it.
Like you said, highly doubt Murphy gets to Rookie Draft tbh.
We will also look at other states than just SA. Xavier Walsh is a recent example.
Polkinghorne is my favourite out of that. Surprised Hargrave isn't on your list! (Unless you think he goes in ND which is fair)
