Well that ain't right is it? We already traded F1 so can't trade any other futures.....Rookie Me summary of Port's draft outlook. They also suggest we can use a future pick to move up the order.
2024 AFL Draft Preview: Port Adelaide
Port Adelaide will look to remain a contender in the long-term with a pair of top 30 picks at this year's AFL Draft.central.rookieme.com

Completely missed that part, you're right. Unless there is some sort of exemption the AFL have given us that I'm unaware of? I think most of the players they've linked us to in the write-up make sense though.Well that ain't right is it? We already traded F1 so can't trade any other futures.....
For me it's Reid and Shanahan. I'm preparing to be disappointedI'm at the stage where I'd be bummed if we don't end up with Reid
I don't know any more. I believed that was the rule but I thought clubs had still managed to do it the past trade period. I included the comment because I thought these guys should be across the rule.
I think they've gotten it wrong. Unless of course AFL gave an exemption but we don't have any circumstances that warrant one and I wouldn't have missed that news!Completely missed that part, you're right. Yeah my point more so is that to most people, speed is the most important criteria in a player. Till my last day, I'll never see it that way. For me, disposal efficiency (in a positive way not backwards), ability to break tackles and ability to find space is superior. Speed is important for sure, but if someone has average speed like Hynes does, to go with the other attributes I've mentioned, they're a target for me. Especially in our midfield where we have lots of speed.
If I'm alone on this hill, so be it haha. Some of the best players in our game don't have breakaway speed
Slow at Junior level and AFL level is one up level . I am not sure how good he will be there .Big body. Not quite third tall...not quite mid. Nice mark. Contested. A bit fumbly. Almost very good but just a fraction off.
Yeah I just don't see the "slow" part mate. I think he's got average speed and many at AFL level are good enough to make things work with that average speed. I think the "slow" narrative is complete nonsense. People say the same for Reid which I also don't agree with.Being average at junior level and Afl level are two different things . If hynes is slow at junior level ,

Reid got more than average speed . He got footy attributes like Horne Francis or Butter . But for Hynes , pick -13 will be too early . He probably worth 2nd round pick .Yeah I just don't see the "slow" part mate. I think he's got average speed and many at AFL level are good enough to make things work with that average speed. Agree regarding Reid but those two have about the same speed. Pick 13 maybe early for Hynes which is why my ideal choice is to do that deal with GWS and pick him using 16 or 21. He won't slip past 24, almost sure of that.Reid got more than average speed . He got footy attributes like Horne Francis or Butter . But for Hynes , pick -13 will be too early .
