I know Angove is a lot shorter but a lot of similarity between him and Nat Fyfe in his draft year. Angove however is an elite kick of the ball. He is the kid in this group that could pull of any trick shot you want done. Physically he is a fair way off now but I don't think he will stay that way.
What about Davidson do you rate so highly? Must admit he's not been in my radar because I've not really followed the mature agers

Under the AFL's rules, clubs can trade out a future first-round draft selection but if they do that, must retain the rest of their future selections for that draft. If they trade out a second, third or fourth-round future pick, they must hold their first-rounder for that year.
I'd add Trainor to these two.

We need a key position player who can play next year. Love his athletic traits as well as his willingness to compete. Very raw in regards to not having been in the system. Skills actually look solid enough to play AFL his hands are pretty clean at ground level and in the air. By the time we get to this stage of the draft I don't think Harry Armstrong will be available and none of the younger key position players will be ready to play in 2025.

Fair enough, although I think if we draft Shanahan I don't think we'll go another KPF. I think there's little to separate between Davidson and Shanahan in terms of being AFL ready.

I actually have Marshall pegged as a defender. His poise, agility and vision make him a great candidate down back.
I think we need let position players at both ends and only picking one key forward is fool hardy because it is probably the biggest hit/miss selection you make.
I don't rate Lord. Marshall is to big a risk to take into games. This probably leaves Soldo or Visentini as our next best tall forwards.
Down back Aliir is nearing retirement and the other tall are just honest competitors.
We have mids , small forwards and defenders. Need a tall draft like when we picked up Dougal Howard.
I share the same opinion of Lord. And I've suggested many times that Marshall should play as a 3rd tall back so I'm glad that someone else thinks that way. But I'm afraid we won't be doing that so picking 2 KPFs seems a bit too much to me.
swan actually had speed. However when you are moving all game it is only the very few that can show any speed as the game gets longer. He was smart with his use of speed. Running at top speed actually ****s up your endurance so one needs to use it wisely. I think Hynes is very much in this mould
Pendles although not quick he is not slow either and his side step makes him harder to catch than those who run fast in straight lines.
I will hate passing over Hynes at pick 14.
You speak too much sense, where have you been the past few weeks while I've been trying to convince people of Hynes?
Also on Ough, kinda like Phillipou in his draft year, Ough is still 17. Turns 18 on 15th December so still could grow in height which is a fascinating prospect given he's already 194cm
Have 0 issues with Shanahan at 13. But I can't help but think Reid + Gerreyn would be a better combo than Shanahan + Ough. That's where I'm torn. I like Ough in his own right at 36 but that pick 29 starts becoming a bit murky and I'm not sure who I'd take if Hynes/Hannaford/Dattoli/Trainor don't fall to it 29. Shanahan, Ough, Dennis and Angove/Bowman/Day-Wicks/Hayes I could live with if taken at the right picks.

I still think we’re a pick short.
I would have liked us to pick up one midfielder especially given how poor our depth is at SANFL in developing mids. If not Reid at 13 (or Travaglia who I see as getting into the midfield eventually), then Ough with pick 36.
We also need a goal-kicking small-medium forward who can find and use space inside 50, a tall/key forward and tall/key defender. The idea of getting Clarke at 29 or 36 has really grown on me too. Maybe he’s the HBF who turns into a mid-wing.

We are definitely a pick short. Which is where the non-delisting decisions we've made are bizarre. But there's nothing we can do about it anymore
Let’s see if that carries through when playing against mature larger opponents
