Remember when Melbourne got rid of a bunch of experience and went with a youth policy including their youngest captains ever? Didn’t work out because the kids weren’t ready and there wasn’t enough experienced bodies and leadership.

GWS and Gold Coast entries into the league with all the first rounders. Also failed spectacularly.

Really? Smillie doesn't impress me and as good as hotton looks there is always a risk attached to doing a knee so early. You only have to look at Brayden George from last season. At a minimum they need to hit at least 4 of these picks otherwise they are screwed.

Tigers are in for 2-3 years of pain no matter how well these picks come on.

Will need to hit on nearly all of these picks if they want to rise after that point.
