I just think that two close and very tough games + 3 consecutive weeks of travel will catch up to Brisbane, whereas Sydney haven’t left home since mid-August so I’m backing them to get the job done.

It’s the perfect setup.

The AFL knows everyone supports their clubs, not the competition itself.
The clubs are where they spend their money.

The AFL does all its dirty stuff to rig the competition and vicbias and MCG contracts etc, and everyone is pissed off with it.
And the AFL absorbs the criticism in a very condescending way.

And in the whole, the supporter base won’t revolt, as long as their club is reasonably ok.
And that’s how the AFL like it.

The only thing that can disrupt it, is a European SuperLeague type decision where the clubs are directly impacted.
Or a second division promotion / relegation.
Incompetency? Bias? Who cares really….
