I just wondering that should we get a player from crowies ? This seems a surest way to win a premeirship . Lever , Dangerfield and now Charlie all got premiership for their selected club .
How could you forget Billy!

Also add Stengle.

Brisbane got Trent Cotchin up there to get them from “nearly there” to “there” and look what happened today.

When will you ever see our club doing anything like that?

We got Selwood for a day.

We need to bring successful people into our club permanently

Not powder puffs with feel good stories

Was pretty confident Brisbane would win. Sydney were pretty average in the back half of the season. You look back now and that 112 point loss against us so late in the season looks damning. Played one good quarter in the QF and basically had a bye in the PF. Found out big time today.

That umpire that paid that dodgy deliberate call that led to Daniher's second to last goal vs. GWS, changed history.
I’d be more inclined to blame Brent Daniels.

Brisbane, like Collingwood last year, showed that it takes an elite small forward group to win the flag. That, apart from the recruiting of Rioli, has been Port's area of least emphasis in recruitment. We have thought some strugglers from successful teams and a converted small defender or two and a bit of late speculative drafting of smalls will get us by. Well that's clearly not where the game is going. Our drafting needs to address this short coming this year. I'm a little concerned that Richards from Collingwood, if we get him, will be as successful as Frankie Evans and Narkle (which is not very much). Brisbane had Rainer, Ahchee, Bailey and Lohman (all 1st rounders) and the outlier, but proven star when recruited, Charlie Cameron (originally a rookie) all running around their forward line. Small forwards need to be the most skilled, clean handling, quick thinking and opportunistic players on the field because they are under heat just about everytime they get the ball.

I know this is a odd thing to notice but that final piece of commentary right before the siren went was ****ing utterly pathetic completely devoid of any sort of passion for the lions winning. I know it was a smashing but come on.

We have Jed McEntee.

It should have been illegal disposal a few seconds earlier.
