West Coast on the board with #15.

A lot of the options they appear to be keen on are gone in Allan and Lindsay.

They also look to have Key Forwards covered and this pick was really about whether they look to invest in the future in a versatile tall who can fill the Barass hole (Trainor) but ultimately I think they just go best available at the pick.

They're going to get a running machine, someone who will tear it open over on the WA wide expanses and add flair, dash and more speed to add with Harley Reid

WEST COAST SELECT - TOBY TRAVAGLIA (187cm HBF/MID)

Not anymore he isn't

16. Port Adelaide select Xavier Lindsay

Perfect Dan Houston replacement for them. Tough, skilful half back flanker.

I stand by it.
A choice of Lindsay and Travaglia, Lindsay has the pure foot skills and elite decision making but I love the dash and flair that Travaglia will offer WC fans.
The crowd will love him because he will kick the ball to them

I had a look at Travaglia Armstrong Lindsay but felt for Richmond Hotton & Berry add what we need
Speed Skill and fierce attack on the ball and both have midfield ability as well as foward craft
Travaglia as a half back looks great at lower level but feel he wont be as effective due to pace and is not elite kick which he would need to be at the higher level.
Armstrong whilst touted as the best KPF i think there are more options later in the draft with bigger upside

I liked your picks! It will be really interesting to see what we do at 10/11!

I thought you'd go Lindsay as there's a chance Hotton gets to 18. Also, what was the rationale with Hotton over Lindsay though especially with skill as a metric?

If Armstrong is there at 10 I think we have to go for him and address our KPF stocks but am worried he doesn't seem to be a good contested mark. Armstrong early or Shanahan/Faull for mine

I really dont get the appeal about Armstrong to be honest and whilst i wouldnt have minded him at #10/#11 i just dont think he is a massive upgrade to others that are available at later picks like Faull , Sims , Whitlocks etc which i think has bigger upsides than Armstrong.

Hotton will be gone to GWS i believe in the real draft and if the rumor about GWS not wanting to trade #15 & #16 for #3 with the west coast are true i firmly believe its because they have their eyes on Hotton. I see him as not only a small foward threat but has similar midfield potential as well

Berry - I love this kid
He has Pace skills and footy I,Q and has untapped midfield ability also but has not been played their much because he was the best small foward in the draft.

But with both these boys we add skills and speed which we are lacking

Hotton and Berry are exactly the types of players we dont have and desperately need IMO

Could have maybe taken the chance and waited for Hotton to slide to #18 but i highly doubt he would get there in the draft and would be taken by GWS.

Berry i would say 100% Fremantle takes him at their pick and is EXACTLY what they are missing

Fremantle select Cooper Hynes

Was keen on Dattoli or Hannaford to be honest, but when looking at Fremantles list, think the point of difference of Hynes appeals to me. I think Freo are stocked in most positions, are a flag threat so allowing this kid to develop in an AFL environment could pay massive dividends.

Forward craft is elite, gets in right positions and the ball seems to just get to him.
