Umpires seem to actually dislike Bont the amount of times he should poll and doesn’t unless he is outstanding. It’s the same as he’s basically the only top echelon mid that’s given no latitude with the ball gets pinged so quickly

With absolutely no hope of picking up the random 1s & 2s that you need to win that Neale, Cripps & Daicos somehow come up with.

They’re not Children and if they take it as seriously as they claim. They should be able to take in a lot of variables without being swayed by one.

Umpires in the old days used to be able to recognize good games from ALL positions. They gave votes to forwards, defenders and ruckman. And those positions won a few Brownlows. But now days, they for some reason can only view midfielders. Why is this? Despite having extra eyes too.

Anything that hands out limited votes on a game by game basis: He has a top tier BOG performance that deserves 15 coaches votes, but can only receive 10. & deserves 4 Brownlow votes, but gets 0 instead. Meanwhile his peers, the players he's supposed to outpoll, get 10 CA votes & 3 brownlow votes just for rocking up and having a 20-disposal game that was pretty good.
