I’m not trading any of our first 4 picks for a 2025 F1 unless it’s the Norf deal of 2 & F1 for 6 and 11

18 for Bombers F1 would work even 20 perhaps. No one is giving up a pick inside 20 for a F1 this year. Only reason we would is cause of the current hand we have

I just doubt Richmond give up #11 for 1 pick next year unless its a massive win else where

What i can see happening is
#28 + #31 for our F2 (which is overs for Richmond) with later picks agreed
#18 + #20 for the 2x F1's

I don't think we can miss with the first two picks, I'd happily take any two of Lalor FOS Jagga Draper Langford Smilie with 1 and 6.

The next two picks set us up, and at 10 I want Lindsay more than anyone at any of our other picks. He just oozes class and I want him in tiger colours bad. Reminds me of Hodge and Bartel in terms of an all-round footballer.

Then at 11 we make a decision that will effect the rest of our draft. We could look at a small slide to get some future draft capital, we can take our first key position player in Armstrong or Whitlock, or we could quadruple down on mids and take Allen. Lots of options here.

Finish up with the key position and small forwards, while keeping our options open for trades and we will have set an outstanding foundation for the future.

A little bit of luck and our haul could be something like...

iirc i don't think twomey does trades in his phantom prediction, he just mentions that a club might look to trade on draft night or whatever, but it would be pretty fun for him to also release a trade version of his phantom draft as there's multiple clubs rumoured around pick 2 (adelaide seemingly most likely atm), stk could trade one of their picks back, and then a couple of 10-20s pick trade rumours

would be fun to find out what trades scenarios he(other recruiters) think are legitimate

i wasn't the keenest on the 6+11 trade even though i didn't think north would be that good next year because i like what's available at 6&11, but far out... after seeing norfs fixture........ not that i think we're doing that trade or north will accept it if offered atm but things can change

For me all our picks need to have one thing in common they need to be able to kick the footy and have good skills both non negotiable we got to many unable to execute both now.

Agreed, their kicking needs to be penetrative, powerful and incisive. With those attributes comes speed of ball movement, you don't have to be quick (obviously helps) when you can drill a 40m pass at 45 degrees and open up the field. Brisbane absolutely cut the Swans to pieces with their kicking.

I would even baulk if they offered F1 & F2 for 11

The sort of trade we'd look at would be WCE 26 and their F1 (Hawks) for 20

or

Bombers 28 and F1 for 23

Slide back a few spots but pick up an F1 in the process
