We're within a week until the draft and the debate seems to be down to 2 with regards pick 1 as the club decides between the Raging Bull Sam Lalor or The Great White Hope Finn O'Sullivan.

What is of more interest though is who gets picked up with our 2nd pick, currently the cursed pick 6, but likely to be the coveted pick 7, which has seen the likes of premiership winners Jordan Lewis Joel Selwood & Josh Caddy, Brownlow Medal winner Ollie Wines, young guns Hayden Young & Bailey Smith and whipping boy Jacob Hopper be selected.

The possible options include:

Jagga Smith - outside chance to slip through
Harvey Langford - would need to get past Melbourne at 5(6)
Josh Smillie - most likely option according to current rankings
Alix Tauru - a chance we take him if North pass at 2
Murphy Reid - outside chance if those above are still available.
Trade Up for FOS/Lalor using 6 & a later pick

"I know West Coast are thinking both Bo Allan and Jack Whitlock are not gonna be at their first pick so I expect Jobe Shanahan to come into play for them if all falls as expected."

Tigerbob Was confused by this. Allan, sure, but Whitlock and Shanahan? Tall forwards are probably the only place that West Coast are sorted. Yes they can 2nd ruck, but surely they'd rather try and get a dedicated ruck like Gerreyn with pick 26, and pick a skilled mid with their 1st rounder?

Lindsay seems like exactly what they need.

Reminder we are presenting our round 1 mock draft monday night on the live show and we are doing a live watch along of the draft on Wednesday night.

I will have a spreadsheet displayed comparing some mock drafts to see how close a few are to the real order etc for a bit of fun.

Agree THE_GUN even though he is a DH

Just do it now

I saw Tigerbob said we haven't decided on pick 1. That's also my mail and there is a little getaway this week to lock in a final order.

I have no idea what the recruiters are thinking. I think reaching for J Whitlock is madness. Obviously they can play but speculative for mine. I actually think Matt shows a bit more balance and robustness. I would prefer Hynes before the Whitlock boys, as I like Hynes in what he can bring our club as a RFC man and think he has cult figure traits for our fans and is a little unique in how he goes about it so he comes across a little under sold

I think Allan is a little underrated because the WA clubs have tried to hide him a little, or I suspect they have. He is a little raw but I see a lot of potential to really improve and he has a lot of great traits in the video displays I have seen. I think he has a lot more potential on what he could offer on the footy field but with more opportunity and growth and development could really surge again

If there was not much around sure pick the Whitlocks, but I think there are too many other prospects that do not pop up every now and then and they say the KPP's next year will be better

Probably going to be the most interesting top 10 for a long time.
Hard to place anyone, anywhere currently (other than Ashcroft obviously).

I do not think Twomey really knows this time.

Having said that getting Draper makes premiership sense.

Draper seems more ready to go and would be a great compliment to Cripps and Walsh where Walsh is a bit more outside I think

If Draper is the difference helping the Blues win the 2025 premiership, one can understand their selection if they chose Draper

Voss was a mid who played inside, he would know what he wants to help the team get better, they traded Kennedy out to so looking for a new look

Perhaps they trade up again?
11 and 18 for 13 and 15 perhaps?
Or could be ballsy and offer 13 and 15 for 2???
Piss off back to your own board roos 10 if your only contribution is laugh reacts

Smillie or Allen, please not both.

I could see us taking both

I see them as totally different players with different roles and versatility options

I do not see Smillie to be able to do what Allan can do and Allan is less suited to do what Smillie could bring

Bit like trying to compare Draper to Whitlock twins

Lindsay should be high on our board, hopefully pick him up at 10/11
