Heaps of mock drafts having us trading for pick 2
If we do I will be totally pissed off

If we do not trade up for 2 a lot of things can happen.

Odds are North more likely to take Tauru or FOS assuming we pick Lalor at one. If we do not pick Lalor at one he may slide a little but Saints will trade up at some point if he is not picked very early

if FOS is picked by North Tauru will slide and we have the most picks to trade up.

If Tauru is picked by North will CFC go FOS or Draper? very interesting, then what does Adelaide and MFC do and RFC have the picks to do different trade scenarios to get certain players

if we trade up for 2 it is harder for us to trade up or back later live after trading up to 2

Has RFC asked what AFC, and Melbourne actually want?

we could trigger a future first in a trade that some regard as taboo but it depends on what we get back and what other clubs want ideally

we could trade for one of Saints picks later to obviously

In fact it would not be prudent if AFC or Melbourne in particular did not call RFC beforehand to say if such and such slides would you trade up and what would you offer under such scenarios

It's no coincidence that a mock draft where we trade for pick 2 looks a lot better than the alternative where we go in as is.
I didn't like missing out on Hotton, but with a first five of Lalor, FOS, Reid, Allen and Whitlock you can't really complain.

I still think I'd prefer Hotton over an Allen or a Reid but that's just personal preference.

Would you pick Lindsay ahead of Allen?

Lalor, FOS, Reid + Lindsay would have immediate class by foot for our next 10 years.

Could add some hard nuts and a KPF with some later picks inc trading down for other clubs F2’s and still picking up someone like Dodson or Sims

It's no coincidence that a mock draft where we trade for pick 2 looks a lot better than the alternative where we go in as is.
I didn't like missing out on Hotton, but with a first five of Lalor, FOS, Reid, Allen and Whitlock you can't really complain.

I still think I'd prefer Hotton over an Allen or a Reid but that's just personal preference.

The best part about that mock is I get everything I could possibly want from the draft and also get the opportunity to melt over a ruck.

I'm sort of with you on that. Swap out Allan and Reid for Lindsay and Berry, we need elite, penetrating kicks.

Lindsay or Allan I wouldn’t mind. I’d take both ahead of Travaglia if he’s the one left at pick 10.

I think the Dodson pick all comes down to whether he is rated as being a top ruck in 3-4 years. If Colina is moving to our main list he is really the ruck recruit and we don’t need Dodson. I like the idea of Harry Oliver at one of our last picks if Dodson is not on our radar.

I know we have 18 but their 17 comes in when KPP prospects are about and they are not really looking for KPP.

Would they look to trade up or back?? who do they want they may still be able? Would they pick a Trainor, take a punt on him then especially if they think they can win it in 2025?

I do not think Twomey really knows this time.

Having said that getting Draper makes premiership sense.

Draper seems more ready to go and would be a great compliment to Cripps and Walsh where Walsh is a bit more outside I think

If Draper is the difference helping the Blues win the 2025 premiership, one can understand their selection if they chose Draper

Voss was a mid who played inside, he would know what he wants to help the team get better, they traded Kennedy out to so looking for a new look

Draper ia a worthy first pick!
