Ruck strategy?
Forget Colina and OHB. Kosi, Balta and Miller can ruck. Won a flag with Balta as back up ruck.

IMO Ryan played his better football as genuine ruck in 2023. 2024 up fwd, he couldn't mark a football to save himself ~ lucky our smalls crumbed to his spilled marks. Vickery was a way better mark & better in front of goal.

We need a KPF/ruck to replace Kosi who's back up ruck work is quite good. Both Whitlocks instead of Dodson. They're taller than Nank anyhow.

Stuck with Ryan for 3 years I don't think we add Dodson

Why do people care Ryan is on our list? If Nank gets injured he’s shown he can fill a role. And he has upside if given opportunity as a sole ruck. It’s a hell of a lot better than relying on washed up back-up rucks like Naismith or Campbell.

I posted a while ago that I think Tiges are keen on J.Whitlock and would most likely jump @ 10/11 and some posters on here weren’t too happy aha.

Blair has been chasing that tall high marking forward for a few years.

Attempts at JUH and M.King recently and interest in T.Marshall early days.

Whitlock is in the same mould as those forwards. And could develop into our Lynch replacement.

Take him @ 11 and it leaves the possibility of getting Matt Whitlock @ 18 or 20.

Both those boys are fairly athletic and have the ability to play multiple roles.

Armstrong is your old fashioned type full-forward in the Jarrod Roughead mould. I see more of a Waterman type athlete (power, strength) than a J.Cameron type athlete (endurance, ground ball ability)

Just depends on what type of player that club wants.
Why would we want a Lynch replacement?? Surely we should be looking for a a better forward set-up

Reading between the lines it seems clear to me Jack Whitlock is our guy key position wise. Wouldn’t be surprised if we rated him above all other key forwards with how it’s sounding, and we take him 10 or 11.
Agree he is the number one target and Faull will be added a few picks later. Whitlock actually also gets quite a few possessions per game so he is really involved in play.

I don't mind Whitlock but I have my +/- about him.

Is 10/11 too early - though there is talk Port are interested in him.

Is he going to be another Peter Wright? This is a worry I have.

I'd say its the perfect time to bring him in if we choose to, 1-2 more years with Lynch being his understudy would be a pretty good internship!

Imagine the melts on both boards if we take Tauru with pick 1.

Isn't one of J whitlocks strengths his competitiveness? That's 2MPs biggest flaw, he's a pea heart.

Tall forwards must have some campaigner in them to be quality.

it is not the perfect time, they themselves if good enough, clearly the queries suggest not

Give up Bolton for some speculative play on inbetweener ruck forwards is the definition of insanity and RFC's proven bugbear

You reckon? They already have big, slow, mids: Pou, Owens, Windhager. They need run. I can see them going for two of Lindsay/Allan/Travaglia/Reid.
If FOS gets to 6 & Smillie 10 then Morro will post a video of himself having a tug on the draft board.
