We’re a bunch of unique individuals – Tigerbob, Morro, RATD, Tigs2010 and myself. We’re gonna engage with our minds and our hearts. We’re gonna exchange ideas, thoughts and even our energy. And to speak from your heart you need to have courage. You need to be honest and authentic. We’re not always gonna get it right. And sometimes, you’re not going to agree with us. But that’s okay, because just like you we care.

Allan didnt find much of the ball at senior level in the wafl. If you cant find it you cant really impact with it.

having said that I've only watched his highlights and looked at his stats.

6 just screams too early for that sort of risk
Yep…but he did murder 12 opposition mids!

If Smillie is available do st Kilda and Melbourne both pass on him? St kilda and Melbourne have recently had a preference for drafting guys with high aerobic capacity so maybe there’s a chance
you'd have to imagine if melbourne select langford at 5 they'd probably skip on smillie at 9, but even then the talent might be too much to pass on since their list manager or whoever it was today said they'd be going best pick available rather than mix n matching like prior years

but st kilda at 7/8 would surely take smillie

but i have nfi so who knows

Genuine question, how’s Allan comparable to RCD. I feel their traits and strengths are quite different?

RCD was very one dimensional, lacked versatility and intensity. Where as Allan can play both inside and outside, has played plenty of football off the back flank and has a great attack into the contest/footy.

I feel this is just a lazy approach to compare him to a failed big bodied midfielder.
Issue i have with Allan is 2 main things
His kicking is not good and inconsistent also does not get enough of the ball which was also the main issue with RCD
Both had good size and athleticism but just inconsistent and impact

#1 - Relton Roberts
#6 - Ben Nason
#10 - Robbie Nahas
#11 - Jeromey Webberley

Actually, I believe in a two-state solution. The Israelis have offered peace deals many times. Check out this article for a quick history lesson. The key point is that the Israelis would happily live inside their own borders.

Why isn't there peace? Because Israel keeps getting attacked. If you want a "free Palestine" then you need to take it up with Hamas and (before them) the PLO. These are brutal terrorist organizations who seek the destruction of Israel, launch terror attacks to murder innocent civilians and use their own citizens as human shields.

But, you know, free speech and all that. Say what you want. Believe what you want. Maybe don't go around throwing stones at other people because of a stupid username.
Really ?
this did not start October 7 (which was terrible)

So why has the state of Israel grown so much and taken over most of Palestine
They are the occupiers of the west bank and most of gaza and the Palestinians are living in an apartheid state as 3rd rate citizens that are always losing their land to settlers and getting killed.

Can i come to your house and take over a few rooms whilst bashing you ?
Just have a look at the map since 1948 and see which has benefitted. Nakba is real

Sorry, just catching up on the thread from the weekend.

So whats the consensus again? We taking Israel or Palestine with pick 1? Have we spoken to the UN yet about trading up to pick 2?

Israel seems the risky pick, but can be quite explosive through the packs. I'd steer clear.

**I blame the AFL for the thread derailment, Draft should be tonight, starting the week off.

Someone mentioned supplying the Saints and Dees recruiters with dodgy pagers so we can track who they're going to pick with 7, 8 & 9.

Anyone able to paste this article, its paywalled i cant see it

I think Smillie is a bit more iffy and remember Saints and Melbourne are more in the now than RFC. RFC can take a chance whereas Saints and Melbourne would be a bigger loss if it went amiss

Smillie could be good quite gut, But I am not seeing Bont, and Cripps is a little different, I actually think 10 to 11 for Smillie is about right, But Blair and others have a better idea through their research and networks

If I was to do a phantom draft I think it more reasonable to put Smilie 10 or 11

The thing is with Smillie he is unusual but is a bit of it big kid versus little kid and how much does that play out at AFL level?

Cripps went 12 in a weaker draft to before he went to levels most thought not possible
