I think Smillie makes it past st kilda, they love runners and endurance athletes. I think Melbourne could take Smillie at 9 if tauru is off the board, but maybe they look at Armstrong or a small like Joe berry if tauru is off the board. Anyone have any insight into Melbournes plans? Heard their recruiter say they are going best available as opposed to previous years when they’ve occasionally gone for needs, sounds like something you’d say when bluffing

I reckon Tauru and Allen would be something JT would do. I’d personally love it in their position but also lots of risk.

It's not that unrealistic that Draper could be there. Would only take Adelaide to go Langford and then Dees would take Tauru according to Twomey.

Funny how those compo decisions change us having 100% control over this draft tp 90%

Done properly Saints should have got end of first, gws end of first and 2nd, could handle grahams compo as well in this case.

7,8 and F1 according to mission yesterday.

But a trade with you blokes would have to involve 10 in some capacity so we can take Lindsay. (You would imagine)

I’d be perfectly happy swapping 7,8 for 6,10.

We take Smillie at 6 and Lindsay at 10.

You blokes Grab Allan & Travaglia (or Tauru)

6 is off the table, won't be moved.

Saints obviously want mids, or at least one plus Travaglia/Tauru. Your choice will be limited to Allan/Smillie (whoever we don't take) and Reid. Not a bad outcome.

I have NFI what our recruiters are going to do come this point in the draft, Twomey is going with us being linked to Allan and Smillie, the only way we can secure both and have a shot at Lindsay (my wish) would be to target your pick 7 and hold our pick 10.

That only leaves 11, comes down to the price we're willing to pay to jump 4 spots (probably 23) and the cost that the Saints are willing to accept for a 4 spot slide (maybe pick 18)

Gives the Saints an extra first round pick, so instead of taking say Allan and Reid, you get a shot at Reid & Hotton & Faull.

All conjecture though as we could have 11 already sold to get Jack Whitlock.

I hope we're not looking at Tauru. We don't need intercept defenders if we've got Bont, Cripps and Dusty on the ball.

Tauru can also play forward. Possibly the top KP in the draft. I’d have no problem taking him at 6 or 10. If we take him at 6 then picks 10 & 11 would need to be midfielders.
