I'm more than OK with the selections, but someone is going to have to explain to me why we knocked back the Essendon offer with those picks.

We could easily have got Jacques with 31, Dolan with 37, whoever we wanted with 39, and had Bombers F2 instead of our F3 next year.

I'm absolutely baffled.

How do you know Essendon wouldn't have taken any of these players themselves with a pick before ours?

sorry mate im confused, Caleb is listed at 168cm, was Caleb only 164cm when drafted and grew 4 cm at 22?
Dolan is listed at only 177cms.

Good to hear if he’s now listed at 168cm again. He was suddenly 172 at about age 22-23 and that persisted even until 2023 or 2024.

Maybe they got caught out telling porkies.

And anyway even though they missed out on Shanahan Essendon ended up with a pretty handy prospect in Gerreyn. I reckon he’ll be a good player in 2-3 years time.

Dolan is literally the perfect replacement for VDM and McNeil

Fingers crossed Bevo plays him, I think Vanders/NcNeil have some photos of Bevo with a goat...how they keep getting games with some really really bad brain fades and kicking for goals.

Gallagher and O'Donnell are both fast and I'd still have Daniel behind just about every other player there

Westy and Flea are locked in at the smalls, Do you see him ahead of Vanders/McNeil/A.Jones as that pressure HF?

I think he plays in the VFL in 2025 with maybe getting a game if either VDM or McNeil or Westy are unavailable for any reason. Longer term I would love to see him replace VDM. He needs to build up some body strength first, but we need to move past VDM if we want to improve. His decision making and disposal is suspect, even though his endurance and run is important in the role he plays, so hopefully Josh can do that but better.

Jacques and Dolan were both projected in the 3rd round, Did we bid against ourselves?
Would love nothing more than to fleese the Dons and still get the players we actually wanted.
That F2 from the Dons is going to be early in the early 20's

Maybe those three. I doubt he's faster than Tim TBH and would not be surprised if Lobb just looks slower but his long legs make him faster.

With our current small fwds Flea and Westy, do you see him getting any games ahead of them?
We need his run, but unless Westy goes into the guts, he might be looking on the outside in for a few years.

Neither are quick genuine small forward. Flea plays as a medium.

What's Dolans kicking for goal/Field kicking like?No write up either.
McNeil/Vanders missed so many bunnies at goals and burnt a lot of leads last year.
