Mentioned on this thread earlier. Has a few fans on here. I think we simply have to draft another small defender this yearHarry Oliver sounds great, ticks all the boxes for a small defender. Would be ideal if we get multiple firsts as we need to top up the midfield as well.

A Berry and Oliver combo would be good. Given we likely will not have a sniff at one of the better midfielders. Both will address a need as small forward and defenders. And if we can land a couple of trades with pace like O'Driscoll and Peatling, I think we'd have done pretty well. Still need to get a damaging center bounce specialist though.Getting up into Lalor’s range would be ideal. Can play forward with stints in midfield similar to Rayner which is perfect for a few years whilst we still have Treloar / Libba
Also really want Travaglia, can play half back with Dale until a midfield spot opens up. Has Richards written all over him.
Joe Berry is also a very exciting talent, genuine goal kicking small forward who can also play up the ground. Has had some runs in the midfield at times.

If that'd what we wanted it should be geelongs job to work it out not oursIf we end up with Geelong's first and Second round pick should we package them to move up the draft?
I agree with you but look what happened with Dunkley. It's only a matter of time before we get screwed over so we need to plan for when it happens. If we can manage to get a pick in the early teens it's win for usIf that'd what we wanted it should be geelongs job to work it out not ours
Suns have 5516 points (Pick 1 worth 3000), and 8 picks. They don't need picks or points unless Lombard bursts into the top 10. I see them making moves for Rioli from the Tigers, and still have plenty left to cover Lombard. I don't think they NEED anything. Unless they do a good will kind of trade, so 12 isn't "wasted" by being eaten up.I wonder if trading with the Suns for our old pick is a possibility. No a huge jump but would keep us more in the tier where the better midfielders are. Collingwood are apparently asking for it for their trade with them, but it's far too much for Noble. Turning the Geelong pick back into that pick may well be doable.

Bad year for trade up options sadly.
I'm 1000% in on name alone. If we are planning on drafting a key defender I don’t think we should look any further than Clancy Dennis with one of our later picks.

I’d be pretty confident of Berry being there at 12Cats will need to trade up. If not their f+f1, we’ll probably get GC’s pick 12.
Will Berry be available at pick 12?
I wouldn't be surprised if Carlton take him at pick 11.I’d be pretty confident of Berry being there at 12
I can only see Hotton sliding from here, through no fault of his own. Someone may get a bargain in the early 20s with him.I wouldn't be surprised if Carlton take him at pick 11.
Then again, maybe it's traded to get Houston?
At that range if not Berry, possibly Hotton might still be on the board
Hannaford has looked lively and could be worth a shot with a mid range to later draft pick if he lasts that long.
Berry would be very nice but probably gone before we get a pick in.
Don't disagree.Given Hannaford’s last month or so, he may be pushing top 30 now. Played down back the first half of the year and then kicked 20 goals in the 8 games when shifted forward including 6 goals last week. He beat a pretty good player in Lachie Jaques too. He’s definitely the type we should be after. Very good defensive intent that likes to tackle and is a good tackler. Has an aggressive streak and can play up the ground as well as deep. He could potentially play as a lock down defender as well, has all the attributes for it and athleticism.
