They were the ones that delisted the young lad they should be angry at their list manager more then anything

I think more clubs should draft the guys that got delisted in order to be rerookied. It’s very funny and would hopefully discourage teams from the delist-rerookie farce.

The rookie draft and system seems to be working to its new intent of giving old guys on the fringes of the side extra years of superannuated top ups in salary.

If a rookie draft happens and so few actual rookies get recruited.

Did it really happen.

Surely its time to take the concept out behind the woodshed for a bit of a talk.

The rookie draft is not all doom and gloom.

It’s great to see youngsters get a chance to show what they’ve got and hopefully show what they are capable of.

Hopefully a promising future in sight for the likes of Ivisic, Day-Wicks, Gunston & Eastham

Getting a good look at them over summer without the commitment.

I wonder if the thinking is also that it gives you a chance to see how your existing list is developing through preseason. Whether we need or want a stop gap mature ruck could depend on whether Tim is getting headaches and how goos Lachie Smith is looking in February after a big training block.

My mistake
It was brought forward to clubs for survey and AFL didn't produce the results

I thought it was approved and brought in with the massive player shift lately
