Docherty stands for the type of player commitment that Carlton should expect from every player. He and Cripps have been the standout leaders at teh Club for years now. One bloke able to lead on field the other bloke leading by showing how to deal with adversity off field as much as on field.

If players measures themselves against these standards and the Club itself filtered players according to this level of commitment - success will be a natural outcome.

Good luck Doch - you deserve it and more for as long as you are able to play for Carlton.
