Apparently Liam Baker has been training with the Mids so far this pre season. He is very hard to gauge in Supercoach terms and I can honestly say I have never picked him because he can dish out some poor scores but last season while Dimma was there he had 5 scores over 100 in the first 9 games a an Average of 96. After Dimma left he was thrown around and didn't score another ton for the rest of the year and his last 14 games averaged 69. This guy is a ball magnet though and if he does play Midfield/Half Forward he could easily go at 100 and having DPP Def/Fwd could be a great swing player during the season. Also it's a contract year so that can add extra to the equasion but definately worth keeping an eye on during pre season.

Someone is going to have to play mid for the Tigers and there are spots open. He provides something different to the Hopper and Taranto while you assume Dusty and Bolton will play forward a fair bit.

Kane McAuliffe is the other to consider alongside Dow to partner the 4 names you've mentioned.

Dow has a good side step in traffic, which separates him from our more permanent mids in Hopper and TT, while McAuliffe has been profiled as someone with both power and speed in stoppages. Baker will have the speed and toughness, but he is still ~175cm (and around 72kg according to the Richmond website. By comparison, Sheldrick is slightly taller at 178cm, but 86kg according to the Swans website) going up against 185cm+ midfielders. Can see Baker in rotation with Dusty and Bolton for HF/mid minutes.

The wildcard options for our midfield mix is Sonsie (by all reports, probably been training the best during pre-season, but suspended for 2 rounds) and Ross (can easily see Yze moving one of our HBs or have Trezise/Brown take Ross' wing spot and play Ross as a mid).

Humpa rocking a new look.......shed some weight, PB in the time trial.....$331k terrible price. Maybe next year though. Him and Ginbey will be SC studs.

And a new sleeve as well .....going to be a jet, just not this year

I'm struggling with the forward line from all angles atm. Scarcity of good premos (edit: aside from Macrae and Flanders) has been well discussed but I'm also really not loving that many of the midprice/rookie options. Don't love Fisher at the price, not keen on Lynch or Jordon, Billings potentially held back by injury, Harmes who knows. Then of the rookies I'm so far only really sold on Reid, Mannagh and Wilson. Duursma/Watson and the other higher priced rooks don't seem like they'll justify their price and there doesn't seem to yet be many other good lower end options presenting. Am I missing any good picks/am I getting it really wrong with any of the above?
