That’s about $1.2m a season freed up in our cap now with Pez and Cumming going… if we bring in a couple of rookies, that comes back to about $900000 I’m guessing…
I imagine some of this will be used to upgrade Finn and all the kids that came in last year.

So 15 vs 19 if we get a mid first round vs a end of first round? Would prefer the former but if they're already putting this out there it's unlikely to get higher.

Sadly the trade period is never much fun for Giants fans.
Only pain.
I do think this will give us the cap to lock in Finn and Cadman which I am stoked with. They are premium players and seem commited to the club.
Might even keep us Peatling.

If Cumming is offered a deal at 6 years on decent coin....could that not land is another end of first rounder?

I'd like is to pick up Brandon Parfitt and see if we can get the best out of him.

Am on board with the Parfitt pickup.

Also, just realised, I guess I need a new profile pic.

Seems Everybody Loves James (Peatling). Still a chance he will stay with us, but we will have to up the $ and the length of the contract

“The Giants have upped their offer to three years, but what that does in turn is the clubs that had three years for him on the table from around the competition, have raised them now to four and potentially five years as well,” Beveridge said.

“The minute the Giants raise their offer, everyone else said ‘watch this, we’re going to raise ours as well.’

Bulldogs seem be an interested in XO - his contract (like Wade Derksen’s) however expires next year, so the club is in a stronger position in negotiations.

Midfielder Xavier O’Halloran has become the latest GWS name to be linked to a move elsewhere this off-season, joining Harry Perryman, Isaac Cumming, James Peatling and Wade Derksen.

The Western Bulldogs have reportedly flagged interest in Victorian product O’Halloran, according to Twomey.

It comes amid news the Bulldogs — who currently hold Picks 32 and 44 at this year’s draft — are one of five rival clubs throwing their hats in the ring for out-of-contract GWS utility James Peatling.

O’Halloran comes out of contract at the end of next season but is already attracting rival interest, having played a career-best 19 senior games for the Giants this season.
