Future 1st l would assume. Under contract l think so it has to be something decent. To add to that how we'd pay for Lewis is another issue because you'd think they'd want picks.

I'd perhaps wait until there's something more concrete than rando poster rumours to start speculating but that's just me.
Can't see us jumping in to another one after Doedee. Especially if it costs us plenty.Lewis did his ACL in July. We won’t see him for half the season.
Hello, congrats on the flag. As a matter of interest, how did you rate GWS? Better than Geelong and swans, or not quite as good.Must say I’ve never been more relaxed about losing such a key player. Reality is he nearly went last year. And helped us win a bloody flag!
Obviously we can’t replace Joe. As others have pointed out we have a seriously potent forward line so it’s less about goals, even though we are replacing our leading goalkicker.
In my view the two most important things Joe did in a structural sense was 1. Cop the best defender ever week and 2. Did some ruck minutes. Two very different qualities!
Hippy or Morris with the best key defender each week would be a struggle. So they need some help in the air.
I don’t think Oscar can solo ruck. We don’t want hippy in there. We don’t want Dunkley in there.
Therefore the only genuine options on our list are Smith or Fort. I favour Smith as he is a monster of a bloke and very competitive in marking contests - did well a few times this year when it was just dumped on his head to get it ground. That’s all we need really.
The problem with either of these guys playing is you lose a bit of run. A 5th permanent bench player would help but i am not sure that’s happening?
I do think it makes sense to get someone in as insurance. And we have zero draft capital. It’s tempting to say we have free money to spend- BUT it still has value. $800k or so front loaded to a couple of players could make the difference between retaining them or not. This is why i’d be saying no to Tom Lynch. We would be paying him the same as Joe for 2 years. And he can’t ruck with his injuries surely?
I thought Himmelberg was a nice cheap option but alas off he’s off to the gc
Kreuger has potential.
Taberner seems serviceable and not too old but maybe injury prone?
Casboult just seems too old but at least he’s free and cheap.
I wouldn’t be going for Membrey unless he can somehow ruck, he is listed at 188cm!
Anyway as others have said i am sure we will have a plan.
I had GWS as playing the the GF at the start of the season, i thought you guys were big, strong, out of the limelight and hungry. GWS kinda reminded me of the Geelong teams the Lions faced a few years back, just big hard bodies that bullied teams. then during the season there seemed time of fragility, where minds just couldn't stay in the game for some reason, a team distracted not just single players. In the finals this showed up big time, what ever it is where a whole team just turns off you have to solve or you will continue to be just a good finals team. Like the suns whom cant win away from home, GWS need to work on their leaders to 'lead' when they see the momentum changes happening.Hello, congrats on the flag. As a matter of interest, how did you rate GWS? Better than Geelong and swans, or not quite as good.
Would you like a swap of Robertson for Harry Himmelberg?
Any other trades possible this off season between Brisbane, GWS?
Perhaps your 2025r1,r2,robertson for 19,21
Not Lewis, but Weddle, and to some extent Watson. They seem to think Lewis is the second coming of Jesus over there the way they are carrying on.

Quite surprised by some of what’s been posted on the Hawks board. It’s usually quite sensible, but 2 firsts, or Lohmann and a first, etc, for an injury riddled player?
Plus they fail to realise, or are ignoring, the fact we need points this year.
If Hawthorn the club feels like Hawthorn the fans, we run away. It doesn’t matter what he did 2-3 years ago with his injury history. He’s worth a future third or fourth and that’s it. If they want a first, we walk away. We don’t need him, we are not desperate. Getting him is a risk and and yes has potential for massive reward but also potential for another Doedee.
