Seb deserved a send off. Two time B&F and a very consistent player in some shit years. It's not the biggest deal but I don't love how we've handled this if I'm honest.
So you believe we should have signed him for another year, so that he can get chaired off in the first home game & retire immediately?

how many threads on trades, drafts and delistings do we need here?

Tomlinson - no
Shiel - no
Houston - no (not a need unless he plays full mid, too expensive also)
McRae- yes if cheap enough

Tomlinson = Yes (particularly if we lose Battle)
McRae = Yes (has a bit of good footy ahead of him)
Soldo = Yes (hopefully comes at reasonable cost)
Peatling = Yes (hopefully comes cheaply)
Houston = No (simply due to what Port want for him)
Sheil = No (see above)

It would be nice to get our list to a point where our cast offs hold reasonable trade value.

Can only assume so. Not sure I love it but if he's a free hit and still has some footy left in him, no harm I guess.

Aren't we linked nearly every year with Tomlinson...since back in the Richo days. I thought it was a Richo thing and that speculation about us would end once he joined up with Richo at Melbourne...evidently not.

Yeah seems to be a recurring thing haha. Reckon I wouldn't know the bloke existed if not for the annual trade period link, don't think I've ever seen or heard of him outside of that context...

Don't feel keen on this Houston link either. Isn't he the one Port came out and put a big price tag on - 2 firsts? I know that's all bluster and it won't cost that but I'd rather not invest any meaningful draft capital in a player like that. Seems very short sighted.

Pretty sure Tomlinson is like Xerri and actually sought a trade to the Saints but was held over by his club. Might be some external reason driving his continual link to us.

Link with Gubby Allan at GWS.

SOS as well.

I think our interest pre dates both of them...

Houston is worth around one 1st round pick and thats it ... has plenty of games of 20 or under possessions and only 25% of his possessions are contested ..... wouldn't be paying any more than that.

Wrong thread everyone, no trades or favourite eyeliner to be discussed in the list management section.

Consider this a warning, but I am tiring of it.

If we could get that done I'd happily help SOS out and take his wife off his hands for him.
I don't think we have enough equity to get it done though.

I propose a trade draft and rumours anarchy thread where only the brave venture. No rules, no order. Just massive amounts of uncategorised information with no boundaries. Leave the orderly shit to the inflexible types. We get real loose in our own room of pleasures. If we want to mix gossip and random thoughts into one post it just overflows into each other. It could be like a swingers club for boring asexual football nuffies.

Probably not. Someone will no doubt be left out and will feel offended.

I’m offended that you said left-out rather than temporarily suspended from current multi person activities.

Assuming he gets another contract, it looks like Webster will be the last survivor of the Watters era. He has also now been at the club for a full 3 years longer than anyone else.
He has signed another contract. Was mentioned somewhere.
2 or 3 years I think?
