Owies kicks goals but plays like a third tall at 180cm rather than an actual small forward. We need players that pressure and can crumb. But no need to trade him unless we are properly compensated - hopefully a 2nd.He's our second best inside mid behind Cripps, has versatility as a forward target and played every single game this year. We've lost the plot here. AND HOW ON EARTH HAVE THEY NOT LOCKED UP OWIES??? WHO KICKS THE GOALS IF HE'S GONE?
Kennedy gone
That's a very high bar...Trading Matt Kennedy might be one of the stupidest list moves we've ever made
pick 11 is a likely 10 year player in a deep draft
Kennedy gone
He (Kennedy) could probably set himself up for life; wouldn’t be surprised to see a GC, North or Richmond throw a 3-4 year deal his way.
Just find a small forward for us thanks Austin.
I'd prefer to just wait and see, we could have something big going on.Trading Matt Kennedy might be one of the stupidest list moves we've ever made
We better …I'd prefer to just wait and see, we could have something big going on.
You would think so.Clubs don’t make these decisions if there isnt something else going on in the background.

He’s our 3rd best inside mid, if we’re excluding inside/outside mids. He's our second best inside mid behind Cripps
He’s been asked to look for a new club. According to Mitch ClearyTo who ?
I think he failed the medical. 1cm left on his calf...AFL website has Martin, Marchbank & Cuningham delisted.
Isn’t Martin suiting up for Freo??
Makes sense to me.Young the one there that doesn't make sense to me - leaves us with Weitering, likely Haynes and Sam Durdin as KPDs
It's been reported, and rumoured on here, that he's free to go. Not sure that happens if they do rate him that highly, not just a forum whipping boy.I don't think that's accurate at all. A year or two ago pretty much all the mids were getting some time in different positions to build flexibility -- Cerra, Hewett, even Walsh to an extent. This year it's been all about the injuries. Without them, there's every reason to think Kennedy would've played the whole year predominantly as a mid. His use in different roles is not some kind of knock on his value as a mid, it's a reflection of his versatility and willingness to put the team first.
I wish I could say I was surprised to be pointing this out, but unfortunately we seem to get the same narrative on this board whenever someone sacrifices their primary role for the team. Last year it was JSOS, this year it's Kennedy.
