We should look at Sam Day from the Suns. Good character. Backup forward or defender and has been playing well. Depth option. Low cost. If he gets a decent run could be a solid second defender (though played forward recent years). Listed on fox sports as a possible option for clubs. Worst case he replaces Durdin in the VFL
Has been playing well? When has he been playing?

When has he been playing?

Can't remember the exact round, but 6+ weeks ago had played a number of games in the firsts. Was BOG until he had a contact injury in the 4th. Fox Footy commentators remarked how he was BOG until then. Apparently has come back fit and keen to go around again. Not saying he is priority one, but as a cheap stop gap if we need KPP depth he is an option that will cost zero

Yesā€¦.has been let go

is picking up Haynes enough to help the KPD stocks?

Can Harry go back? I think soā€¦

Who else?

Sorry if this is repeating previous conversationsā€¦

And let Charlie get eaten alive on his own? No thanks
Kemp? Silvagni? Most teams who are succeeding are doing it with small, quick forward lines.

TDK as a resting forward ruck?

Weitering canā€™t hold up the back line like this season again, surely.

And Charlie needs to use his wheels not get it put on his head every forward entry

Kemp's played 2 games up forward in his career so far and in one of them he got absolutely killed. I wouldn't be pinning our hopes on him being the definitive solution up forward.

But yes, they are playing small, quick forward lines... The issue is they have players like Tyson Stengle, Brent Daniels, Charlie Cameron etc where as we have Owies, Motlop and Durdin.

If we solved our small forwards woes then maybe it's a move we could play around with, but I highly doubt it's even considered.

Iā€™d say possibly around the 30-40 pick mark, contracted til 2026, heā€™s a solid KPD player with some good athleticism and decent footy skillsā€¦

Heā€™s played 75 games debuting in 2020, considering our complete lack of depth with KPDā€™s we have on our list either developing or genuine backup, he would be well worth a list spot and ahead of Young in partnering Weiteringā€¦

Murray Bushrangers boy, dad played 3 games for Carlton in 89 seasonā€¦

Think most teams would play a Charlie and harry forward if they had such players.

Sam Day gets on the park about as often as Marchbank. If we're moving on from injured players he's not the answer.

Forget who put his name up a while back but thought it was worth sharing. Surprised he hasn't been re-signed, doesn't have the best injury history but can definitely play.

Always liked him as player, offers attributes we lack

What would we think Jordan Butts would be worth in a trade? Bit of talk on the Crows board he could get squeezed out if Keane stays.

More of a Full Back then CHB which could allow Weiters a license to roam more
A pure stopper which I don't mind, probably an early ish to mid 2nd rounder

Not sure of trade value. If he is being pushed out not too much, but a second wouldnā€™t be too much on his best form. The go slow is that he has missed plenty of games through injury. Unsexy stopper type, but I remember thinking they were set when he was in a purple patch of form.

Definitely due diligence on his body, I canā€™t remember the nature of his ā€œnigglesā€.
