Something would come back, even if it's later because clubs dont do 4 picks for 2 players. I'd agree it's closer to 50 than 30 though. Picks basically low enough the club losing them ignores them but the club getting them needs them

It's pretty standard historically for contracted guns to be traded for two firsts with a second or very early third coming back.
I do expect to not get any picks back if some of the player's salary is being covered by the original club.
Agree. Think Pickett is more of a needKane raises a good point, Kozzie v Warner. Getting one rules out the other so we need to make the right choice. I think it comes down to how much Johnson, Erasmus and Noddy improve. None of them will get to Warner's level but as a collective if they can elevate our midfield offensively and defensively we should be comfortably with prioritising Warner.
I really dont think it's a hard choice. We are getting Bolton, that's our offensive part time mid to round out the core. He's arguably a BETTER fit because he's a forward first. If you can add Pickett it's really a no-brainer.Kane raises a good point, Kozzie v Warner. Getting one rules out the other so we need to make the right choice. I dont think Pickett will be on that much or is on that much which is why he's that much more appealing. I think we are guaranteed to lose someone decent if somehow got Bolton/Warner but Pickett needing up to 700k less a year (1.5m vs 800k) than Warner is gigantic in the scheme of things.Don't know the Freo TPP situation.
Do you think you could afford Pickett + Bolton if they're both on $1mil/year?
I'd pay half Bolton's easily. Heck I'd pay the whole thing if it means getting 9+10.
Dont underestimate Bobs drive.I think Bob was good for a younger list. Angus would be a more driven person, especially considering his situation and would be better for the now in my view. If of course he was up for it and having a brother at the club was a positive and not a negative.
What do you think Pickett is on? Do you think when Melbourne signed him up in his 3rd/4th season with all the present stars they had like Gawn, Petracca, Oliver, Brayshaw, May, Viney, Lever, Fritsch etc in their peak and were contending for premierships, they also handed Pickett $1M a year for 4 years?Don't know the Freo TPP situation.

Kirk was a genius move recruit...As was Murphy..IMO.Who was the ex Sydney player who was made from the oke ? Kirk ?
He was assistant with us during our wonder years.
and Barlow?I don't mind it. Brayshaws seem to ooze professionalism.
How has Mayne been going?
Good riddance to this soft numptyDont underestimate Bobs drive.
He was a key element in the Doggies premiership.
Big man.
except i think darcy has performed well in big games. most ruckmen don't or can't take a game by the scruff of the neck.Watching Darcy Fort make Grundy a non issue, also makes a Darcy trade more appetising.
I like Sean, but if we can add all three targets and go in with Reidy and a fast developing Knobel, I don’t hate it tbh.
Would like Jackson to be slimming down too
Not our kind of guy...IMOOhhh I think Melbourne are the ones looking to move him on, they just aren't there yet in terms of admitting he is a liability that destroys their squad cohesion and costs a million bucks a year to sneak out of hospital for "reasons" after being admitted there for "reasons".
hard numptyGood riddance to this soft numpty
its pretty obvious isnt it? if we dont get warner we play one or a combo of those 3, if we dont get pickett we play walters/banfield/simpson?Kane raises a good point, Kozzie v Warner. No, but to trade him in you'll need to offer a contract that honour's his MFC contract value and given the current climate of contracts / player's EBA I suspect you'd be offering him a longer contract on good money? What do you think Pickett is on? I don't think Pickett's current contract is in that ball park at all.
i'm kinda thinking it. we have melbournes former fitness boss. he might say to them i can get him into a position to perform to the required level. Not our kind of guy...IMO
If anyones thinkin...
even before this seasons performance on and off the field i would say no to oliver. watch his performance in last seasons finals, a huge reason for the dees woes. absolute turn over merchant, some of the most frustrating disposal from an a grade player under little pressure ive ever seeni'm kinda thinking it. we have melbournes former fitness boss. he might say to them i can get him into a position to perform to the required level.
Thank you. Captain woke can **** off. so many people can make players bond but in life and especially a professional sport like AFL you can't be the nice guys. We need to be hard ruthless Cu*nts.Good riddance to this soft numpty
I’m no sky news lover, no right winger by any stretch but that line from Murphy is just pathetic.Good riddance to this soft numpty
