Honestly I think Fyfe is the elephant in the room when it comes to Jackson being played in a Blicavs like role.

I don't think you can play Darcy, Jackson and Fyfe together around the ball - and when Fyfe is in the team that probably only leaves 5 minutes per quarter where Jackson could play as a mid.

It's a shame because he hasn't really had a fair crack at that role yet.

Not sure it gets better with Erasmus or Brodie playing.

Jackson's got enough talent to forge his own role in the team. Doesn't really need to ape anybody else.

Blicavs plays half back, wing and if they have their A-Grade midfield will be preferred somewhere else a lot of the time.

I reckon Jackson, when he's in there, is better off playing the ruck with a bigger priority on post-hitout anyways. So more mid than ruck in a way.

The way Mac Andrew is playing for GC shows how effective the Sudanese kids can be despite being ectomorphic (tall, super lean).

It sounds like Sebby is doing some great work on the track. That clip a couple of weeks ago of him out marking Jackson was seriously impressive.

If he turns out a high marking, goal kicking freak that would be a serious wild card for next year. Imagine if we land Charlie Cameron & Sebby comes good! Our forwards setup could become devastating to match the rest of the team.

So the always accurate and absolutely not a crackpot Peter Sumich reckons that Freo have paid for Chad Warner's recent trip to Perth over the bye, including putting him up at the Crown

This is a story getting around at the moment, did he say that today?

I would give a first for Charlie Cameron.

It’s a lesser aspect of all the first round picks we have but still important - worth keeping an eye on free agency talks around a few of the big restricted free agents.
Mcluggage apparently close to signing at Brisbane. That good for us as he would defo be band 1 if he left, so we don’t want him leaving.
English also close to extending at the dogs. Another big win as he would definitely be band 1 too.
strong change both dogs and lions finish below all our 3 picks so if both left, the cumulative hit to the value of our picks would be pretty substantial.

Will Hayward is another to keep an eye on but not such a high risk given Sydney will have a 16-18 pick most likely.
Zurhaar - pick 2 would be outrageous compo for him if he left so that’s surely unlikely.

Others I’m not so sure of.
Would be a real boost for us if there is no first round FA compensation picks inserted this year in to the draft order

I'm hoping the Zurhaar one is only band 2, so North match and force a trade.

Would be stupid for a club to pay the salary required for band 1 to Zuhaar. From what I’ve seen he is nothing more than a second round pick at best. North can push hard for that but if they get band 2 they should start the car and move on. That in itself will be around pick 19-21 range (not sure where it fits with the free end of first round picks granted by AFL last year to North for being s**t), so even band 3 is decent for them. For example Band 3 is what we got for Mayne.

Likely come down to Band 2 vs band 3. At end of the day very little difference between pick 20 and pick 22 for example.

Charlie Cameron 🙅‍♂️ Freo not interested. Staying at Brisbane
