If Brodie had it in him, we would've seen it by now. He's been out of the team for over 1.5 seasons at this point, and probably even pre-dating that he should've known these are the aspects of his game to work on.

Gotta cut him loose and let some other team take his salary. There's a good 8-10 names I'm taking off the list before I attempt to strongarm Fyfe or Walters into retirement (especially if they embrace not playing every game when available), and Brodie is on that list.
If not Brodie than NOD. Fyfe isn’t going to get any better and him getting worse is a liability, as seen today. He’s not going to get his flag. Neither will Sonny. Both are past it. Better to retire now than after another year either in the twos or being gifted games when they don’t deserve it

With Fyfe and Walters (especially Fyfe), I look at it as "is their best that they've shown this season at least somewhere in the top 30 of this list", and my answer is "hell yes". Playing them every game when they're fit doesn't work. But there are finals teams that have managed vets exceptionally. If I said to you this time last year "Jack Gunston can play an important role for a finals team next year", I think my account would've been banned for spreading misinformation.

It's the old "I ain't as good as I once was, But I'm as good once as I ever was".

Come on. Rioli barely touched it.
The fat drug cheat got a free, and two goals that dropped in his overweight lap.

Walker belted him running off him and provided good drive off half back

Walker had 205m gained and 0 score involvement.

Wagner, Clark, Ryan and Sharp all have >400m gained.

Ryan and Clark 1 score involvement, 4 for Wagner and 5 for Sharp.

Walker was average. Apparently we are looking at Cummings. He’d be an instant upgrade on Walker and Wagner.

Walker isn’t getting metres gained ffs.
No lockdown specialist is getting that.
The whole purpose of a lockdown defender is so the other 3 defenders can.

NOD must re sign.
He was so different today.
Him and Sharp for 2025. Hope the club knows this and look at JOM, Switkowski, Fyfe and do some hard truths.
Sounds like its as good as done from the way Noddy spoke post game, can't wait to get into preseason, loved the club since he was 6 etc

Club already knows players want to be traded

Probably confirms atleast one of the Switta or Sturt calls :\

If it’s Sturt and it’s because we low balled him, I’m ****ing done.

Who would you rather play? Erasmus will probably already be playing, so who do you want to be our backup and rotation guy? If Fyfe can play an important role in our midfield set-up then so can Brodie. and probably do it better. Serong and Brayshaw need big body support and Erasmus can't help with that yet. Young can't carry that whole load himself. Johnson is still an unknown quantity and should probably be rested at times or at least be required to earn his spot. Unless we recruit some ready made quality mid, we don't have anyone else.

I don't want to do a rotation in the first place. That's your idea.

I'd put Ras in for Fyfe, draft/trade another inside mid and Brodie can play when there is an injury. Either that or NoD or someone else can fill in those games.

Also Bolton will absolutely spend time in the middle. As would Baker if we get him.

The problem is, their best only appeared once all season. Walters v Crows and Fyfe v Dogs (1st time).

You can't carry them around for 10-15 games hoping to get a blinder when the average games are so poor.
