Not to mention when these player's are interviewed, they're asked which club's have spoken to them. Can't really stop player managers or the people close to the player contacted for background information, from leaking that information.
One of their aims would be for their player to be drafted higher than normal so that he can from an increase in base salary.
If we pick no kpp I'd say there would be riots. Would make zero sense not to pick a couple kppCan’t wait until we pick no KPP and people start sooking on here.
Not to mention we are going to have late picks in this years and next years draft, at some stage we are going to have to draft multiple kpp . May as well do it in a draft with great depth of talent. If we pick no kpp I'd say there would be riots. Would make zero sense not to pick a couple kpp
A lot of SA and WA links to us.Isaiah Winder has built up his body and had a great year in the WAFL playing midfield. Could be a good option
The Hine Type instead of Proper TallsSeems like a mid/fwd is high on list
He is a General Type FWD/Backman can go thru the Midfieldhe's 190cm though
We're not going to do that. It's not a consideration. AJ and Markov are getting picked up in the rookie draft no matter what. Clubs don't do that to players when they've committed to rookie-listing the players. Absolutely 0% chance of Collingwood going back on their word.Yea we should draft 4, I would rather take someone like polkinghorne over taking aj in the rookie draft.
Yeah but sometimes you think you're taking the Butters type over the Rayner type and you're actually taking Tom Scully and Jack Trengove over Dustin Martin. It's not as easy as dismissing the "type" of player.Take the Rayner type over the Butters type.
It's risk versus reward. However, I'm with Manic and think they go the dynamic athlete a bit too much over the pure footballer.Yeah but sometimes you think you're taking the Butters type over the Rayner type and you're actually taking Tom Scully and Jack Trengove over Dustin Martin. Wonder which two of 52,55 ,60,66 we will use to move up the draft board.(Assuming we plan on drafting 3).Going by this sounds like we want a key forward, key back and a mid forward

I think we were linked to Lachie Voss in the mid season draft.Going by this sounds like we want a key forward, key back and a mid forward

“We had several KPP options, but in the end we couldn’t look past [insert vanilla half back flank here] at our pick, as he was really high on our draft board. We felt his lack of exposure to elite pathways, late birthday, and basketball background were just too good to pass up.”Best available incoming.
They kind of have to if you see a decent gap, don't they? How can you go, well we think this guy is a much better prospect but we're going to pick this guy instead. It'd be pretty incompetent.Best available incoming.

Bring back the Tambling and JON recruiting team! It's just tough. They're trying to predict the future and there's a lot of guesswork involved. I think there's a bit of FOMO too sometimes leading to the blokes who have the occasional wow moment going higher than the sure thing, you don't want to miss Buddy or Dusty when you had a shot at them.
