We have committed to AJ. He’s not going anywhere. Is there any chance that AJ ends up at another club in the rookie draft?
I am confident that Leggy will be back, but l just have a feeling another club may take the punt on AJ....
Jamara Naughton FogartyRubbish.
First of all Ablett was 185 and Dunstall 188
But Oscar Allen, Jake Waterman , Mihocek , McStay , Curnow , Georgiades, J Cameron , T Walker, Fogarty, Gunston , L McDonald , Zurhaar, J Amiss, Treacy , J Hogan etc all say hello
You can have your over rated Peter Wrights and Max Kings
He's eligible to be taken as one by St Kilda now, yes.Wouldn't Cole be a CAT B Rookie?
How tall is Hogan?Yes in the 1980’s when Plugger, Dunstall and Ablett were that size. The only one these days is Curnow who is successful at that height. If you haven’t been watching. 200cm + is a key and Curnow size is a mid.
I am somewhat surprised! This young bloke - Clancy Dennis - is an All Australian KEY DEFENDER from WA who as far as I know as 4.45 PM today has not been picked up even in today's, ROOKIE DRAFT. Rather Collingwood re-drafted OLEG MARKOV & ASH JOHNSON. OK. Personally, I would rather draft a young kid like this bloke - as a project player - as opposed to Johnson initially & then Markov, secondly. I personally do not think that we really need either of them going forward. With Houston & Perryman coming in then, I think that Markov is really superfluous to our backline needs. OK. On the flip side, I just cannot see Johnson getting any better in terms of attack on the ball, intensity & exerting real pressure on his opponent week in & week out. So I am somewhat surprised as this young 195 cm key defender & WA Under 18 State defender has been linked with us all through the lead up to the National Draft last night & not picked up.OK.I would rather keep investing in youth than blokes who have already reached their limits. Who knows, perhaps I am missing something here. Is it possible that either Markov & Johnson have had amazing starts to this pre-season & so are both training the house down? Anyway, goodbye & good luck.I am flabbergasted at the fact that an under 18 AA couldn't even get a rookie spot.
To get that honour in a deep draft pool is no ordinary thing.Unless the clubs just don't put too much weight into AA selections.
Plugger - 191cmYes in the 1980’s when Plugger, Dunstall and Ablett were that size. The only one these days is Curnow who is successful at that height. If you haven’t been watching. 200cm + is a key and Curnow size is a mid.
Yes. But when someone performs well at lower levels but isn't seen to be AFL suitable there's a reason. Just wondering what the reason is with him.AA team decided on champs , not afl suitability
Hello Will Gould
Johnson is contracted I believe so it would be a cap burden to delist him and not redraft. Markov plays a different role and is not a tall obviously, but with Noble out, will be good depth.I am somewhat surprised! Suns did a greenwood situation and selected Freo's ruck who they delisted, planning on re-rooking lol
In Collingwoods case I’m sure they were half hoping for it to happenYeah. If you are silly enough to allow contracted players to be in the open space, you should be prepared if a club pounces.
Yep. We've all been sharing our emotions on his threadHas anyone seen the family reaction video of Will Hayes and his family when his name was announced? That was the most emotional one I've ever seen. I fell in love with the kid the moment I saw how much it meant to him. It looked like he'd given up all hope.
Nothing wrong with the rookie list except it needs to be renamed.Rookie draft a disgrace in name and process
Just flippin get it all done on night 2 of the draft
Anybody taken after 3rd round gets a 1 year deal
Then no need for rookie list (except CAT Bs)
Clubs can de-list and relist, take kids on 1 year deals , etc
There… fixed it
Like the sub rule… chimpanzees could run things better than AFL house
We're done. No spots left. And we don't want any, because that would mean a long term injury to someone.I’ve lost track.
Are we finished now?
No room for an SSP?

Just need Condon to sign now…We're done. No spots left. And we don't want any, because that would mean a long term injury to someone.
Yep, this is he's absolute final chance at making it as an AFL footballer.Come on, AJ! Fire up!
