His ceiling is Josh Dunkley.

We absolutely need a big bodied defensive mid and he’s going to be a powerhouse in 2 preseasons.

Wardlaw is far too valuable winning his own ball to do it and Powell isn’t suited to it. Doesn’t have the athleticism. We’ve seen Clarko try Phillips at it.

As a bare minimum he will tear the reserves up for a few years. I’ve no doubt he will earn at least 1 extension.

Sounds a bit like SPP from the Tarps, how do the two compare?

Urquhart is a mid but seems like a real point of difference in terms of our depth. If Wardlaw is out then we could use him, eventually, for balance.

He’s like a defensive, harder edged version of LDU.

LDU is a rolls royce, but is always in front of the ball, has had to learn to run both ways and taken years to build his tank.

Uquhart is the opposite.

Urquhart is bigger, as fast, but much tougher inside and more of a 6”3 Andrew Swallow. He’s also an elite runner for a 6”3 mid.

People have been asking for a big bodied mid and he’s an animal with a ready to go tank.

Would not be surprised if Urquhart comes on earlier than expected.

Those types train like absolute madmen and they help midfield structures in the sense that we can release our offensive weapons.

We leaked quite a few too easy centre and stoppage clearances this year with a seemingly stacked midfield. You need that late pick defensive midfielder that does the dirty work but can also contribute on the offensive too.

Have we had a good centre squad defensive midnthat could find the ball since the Pig Levi Greenwood?

stevens is still not someone i'd choose in the next 20 picks

YES YES YES YES YES! Absolutely over the moon, contrary to a few of us, we have done very well indeed. Luke is a manic midfielder who if he can tidy up his kicking {its not to bad} will complement our team, let me assure you of that. His effort at the nationals was very good, {another midfielder, I know, but Luke, I rate quite highly, I had him at pick #28 on my draft board, the best midfielder + two big sliders with loads of talent, we now have our list, while you do have to take three players every year {you can delist players with the promise you will pick them up in the draft}, we are done. we will, I believe take River in this draft or Rookie him which makes perfect sense. LOVE THIS CLUB, LIKE TOTALLY!
