If off the Langford wagon, very strong rumours he tanked his north interview on purpose.
He certainly doesn’t look slow in videos of him, but his testing wasn’t great. But the ball moves quickly when he has it I reckon. His kicking is sublime. Low hard and fast.
I have been on and off with him personally. Interview with him has pushed me right off him if true.
When watching his VFL games I thought he struggled for the space he was getting at Coates level and couldn’t physically bully.
By contrast Jagga was able to keep skirting around packs and get multiple possessions in one chain. (I Don’t want Jagga for North, purely on mix)

Hope he ends up interstate if that’s true

I don’t give a feck how good he is or might be, if he tanked his interview with us he’s dead to me.

If he's got his head up his own arse far enough to think he's too good for us, he can **** right off.

GETTABLE DRAFT COUNTDOWN – MONDAY

9.15AM AEDT: Will Thursfield (North Melbourne recruiting manager)

The Goad pick was probably the one to trade.

Don’t think they anticipated Xerri to really kick on they way he did and probably viewed this years crop as midfield heavy.
Ah yes Goad the 5 year project ruck that will get delisted after 3. What a wasted pick.

Makes you think maybe just maybe he didnt reall give 100% at the combine ?
He is not express but certainly didnt look that slow in games

I agree re highlights. Doesn’t look slow.

Mad tigers fan too apparently. So could be something in that. Dunno. Risky move by the kid. Seems odd. Full tinfoil hat theory in that though. But who knows.

Why not jagga? The biggest knock on him seems to be a bit like sheezel. Classy accumulator and play maker with excellent disposal. Having those two with wardlaw, ldu and parker busting packs would be huge.

He's still my first preferrence without doubt.

I’d take Jagga in a heart beat. I think he goes to the tiges though. They’d be silly not to take him.

Not too sure if it is actually risky TBH

Kid has class and poise and can clearly play the game at the highest level and shows unbelievable footy i,q and plays a very good foward role. I see him as a very much like a Dunkley type player

Now im sure he knows he will get drafted and his manager would know and tell him that
whats he got to gain by smashing it at the combine if he already know he wont miss out and if the 'Wanting to go to his team thing was correct' He knows Richmond have 1 , 6 , 10 , 11 and they will take him with atleast 1 of these selections
whats the difference if he goes say pick #3 or pick #11

I think he did a 3.23 or something like that in the 20mtr's maybe just maybe he might have got a 3.10 if he tried
which looks more like his speed to the naked eye watching games

He may have tested poorly for a number of reasons… not trying isn’t one of them though

You dont go to the combine if you dont want to try. Whats the ****ing point? If he is getting drafted, there is no pre requisite he must attend. So, he absolutely tried, he’s just not that quick.

Regardless of the reason, there are better options for us. If we want to get a midfielder, we don't need another bull we have George and LDU for that strength and explosiveness. FOS or Jagga probably give us more in terms of variety then Langford.
