Hi guys, are you interested in trading a future first for our pick 18 if there is a player you want?
Not pick 18 on it's own. Think we'd want 10/11 or 18 and 20/23/24 for a top 6 F1.
What would you want for pick 6 this year? That's what we would be valuing our F1 as because it'll only move back one spot with a bid on GC's Uwland next year. That could be Ludowyke or Duursma next year for us, so we'd be better off saying no. You guys might end up splitting 10/11 with Port, GWS or Swans for a 1st and 2nd rounder if they want to move up. Wait and see what happens on the night, but I'd hope we'd want more that just a lat 1st for our F1.

We don't want to trade pick 6 because we can get Langford or Smilie at that pick.

Yes I know you don't want to trade 6. It's a hypothetical trade question. You would want two top 15 picks for 6.
We'd want something similar for our F1 but we'd probably have to take a bit of a hit trading into this year, so not quite sure what the deal might look like in the end. You might get desperate offer of a F1 and F2 from Bombers for 18/20/23/24. So I suspect you might get more than one F1 in next year. Wait and see what happens on the night.

I think player trading should be allowed on the night. Then if Tauru is taken at say pick 10, you could trade picks for that player.

Word a while back was a certain H Reid was keen to play with his mate FOS...draft him and in the coming seasons set the bar high and make Reid an offer he can't refuse!!!!
That ship has sailed. We had our chance and didnt take it for better or worse. Time to move on from it

Apologies if this has been answered already, but with various picks being spent on bids etc, is there an expectation on how far pick 62 will come in?

So… our pick two is not worth multiple top 10 picks because it’s “such an even draft” until you put the player you didn’t want at that pick until it is?
Right…?

Have asked this a few times actually, somewhere around 55 has been the answer.
I think that's probably right.

I'm no expert, but going from Twomey's phantom draft and including 20% NGA and F/S discounts, it looks like the following picks will be absorbed.

Ashcroft bid on at 5 - Brisbane pay 27, 34, 42
Lombard bid at 9 - GC pay 39, 41, 51, 61
Kako bid on at 13 - Essendon pay 28 and 31
Marshall bid on at 25 - Brisbane pay 43, 49, 58

(Camporeale probably gets done with just pick 38.)

So you've got 12 picks for four kids, suggesting it'll come down to 55. It'd be nice if Kako was bid on a little earlier than Twomey is predicting, to bring our selection forward another spot or two at the Bombres' expense.

Absolute gold!
Can hear the tears hitting the keyboard. Wanka.

If things don't fall the way we are all hoping, I am choosing to blame North. Not Dougs, not Higgins. Not SOS or Gubby. North bloody Melbourne!

Paying pick 25 for a 29yo Caleb f****ng Daniel left them with zero currency to maneuver. Who's level 3 brain explosion was that??? That one decision left them to either overreach, or miss out on the type of players they NEED to actually be competitive in a game of football sometime this decade!

Ignoring Larkey (poor bugger), that rabble is going into 2025 with a KPP list of Cam "2 good games a year" Zurhaar, 19yo Zane Dursmaa, Callum "Richmond discard" Coleman-Jones, Aiden "please don't kick the ball" Corr, Griffen Logue off an ACL and an extremely washed Jack Darling.

Instead, they could have maneuvered picks 2 and 25 into 3 or likely even 4 picks between 6 and 30. Walked away with some combination of Tauru, Shanahan, Armstrong, Trainor and / or one or both Whitlocks. And with their F1 still intact!

Instead they get 1 gun mid, Jack Darling padding his superannuation and a midget to run around at half back.

Picks 3, 9, 14 were all on the table. Three clubs held multiple picks in the top 10. Another two have multiple picks in the teens. About half the AFL did pick swaps in or out of the first round, and they missed the boat on all of it!

Noooo. Lets wait until draft night. Maybe we can get 2 future 3rd rounders from Adelaide. That will really accelerate the rebuild!

If that was my club, I would be wanting heads to roll. In the most even draft this century, stacked with mids at the front end, what the actual f**k are they still doing with pick 2???????

Incompetent p**ks!

I've just viewed the saints board and crikey they are indeed blowing up.

Why wouldnt they offer up 7 and 8 for our 2?

I’d do it, they get a grade mid they want/need and we *should get the viking and the best kpf (in our eyes)

List balance for both teams

Thats about the only trade id do for 2

Thoughts?
I'd do it with very little hesitation.

This is some butterfly effect type of shit.

I mean I thought 25 was high for Daniel…but fuarrrrrrrrrrrk this guy broke.

So 2 for 8,9 and a future if they’re so desperate?

I mean how could a team publicly challenging for finals be so fixated with one 18 year old mid?

Got a summary of the melts? I don't venture onto other team boards.
Blues wanted Draper or FOS?
Saints wanted Langford or Smillie?
Tigers want Langford?
Carlton after being convinced for weeks they'd traded up for FOS....now he's no good.

Richmond are doubling down on stupid with their trade suggestions.

St Kilda "how could they do this to us"
